it’s 3 players asking for an injunction to play in the FedEx playoffs. 
The Tour has already said that the 125 determined to be in on Sunday are in.   If the court issues the injunction, the other three will be added.

 

I wouldn’t be surprised if tee sheets get released pretty quickly, so the 3 would just be a group unto themselves, either first or last on Thursday and Friday.

Personally I think Taylor Gooch is gonna have a reeeeeeeeeal bad time in Memphis if the injunction is upheld. 
 

Hud and Matt Jones have been pretty quiet about the LIV situation, but I can see JT zipping 4-irons at Gooch’s ankles all week on the range

From what I have read the PGA knew well in advance this was coming and I have confidence they will prevail. The new young PGA players are great golfers and with them who will miss the liv players? As far as the liv it may just collapse, which I think will happen.

What is the status and expected resolution date of the LIV lawsuit regarding the FedEx Cup?  Seems to me it will have to be not later than Tuesday and probably should be Monday.

Status is filed and resolution is somewhere around 2026.  Maybe.  If you’re looking for the injunction to let them play, keep looking .

This is so bogus. An injunction doesn't mean a "win" for either side. It is, in this case, a temporary stay until such time as a proper hearing can be heard.

Nuisance suits.  Ties up the PGAT in knots.  Bleeds them of even more money. If you have infinite money, might as well put it to use in every possible way.

is kim's win (on liv tour or pga tour) possible on liv tour? ... does he get at least a few chances to prove himself in competition, then win an event and become a golf 'star', relatively speaking? ... how does he get the attention of the one person who gets to decide who plays on the (eventual) world tour of pro golf (assuming gregory and the sauds get their way)? ... big social media following? ... other than the pga/dp/etc tour, how does it work out so that the only requirement from him is a lower score? ...

their intention is to break the contract.   Not just cut the restriction on outside tournaments, but if they break that’s then it starts to put in question or possibly nullify everything.   The 15 events will no longer be required either.   If the court backs the defectors (in the main suit) then more top golfers will go.

Freedom.  They don’t want to be banned.  Some have invested most of their life helping improve and grow the pga tour.  This would allow current and future players to play LIV for as long as they want and still have a path to the pga if they choose and meet the qualifications.  The pga tour has made a lot of money off the backs of many LIV players.  A ban is unreasonable.

Agree that overall it isn’t a big win for either side, but It is a very small win for the LIV players trying to play, and I’m sure LIV views as a significant step in the process.  Not likely to happen, but what if Taylor Gooch miraculously won the whole thing, which if he can’t play he has absolutely no chance.

They have their freedom. They left. Good riddance.  A ban was self imposed. They knew the consequences a year in advance

Yeah, Justin Thomas at 5’8” 150lbs is such an imposing physical specimen. I’m sure Gooch is shaking in his boots. 😂

I don't think you can honestlyy say players have "invested most of their live helping improve and grow the PGA Tour" or the "PGA tour has made a lot of money off the backs of many LIV players." These players have been looking out for themselves, any improvement or growth to the PGA is collateral damage. And the PGA Tour is where it is regardless of players, except for 1. The LIV players have made a lot of money off the backs of the PGA Tour and Tiger Woods.

Why can't those who post or have strong feelings just get to the place where there is the LIV Golf Tour and the PGA Tour?

 

It seems obvious they are going to co-exist, at least for a moment.

 

Support the PGA Tour.  If that's all it takes, it should be fine.

Just curious what JT's physical size has to do with zipping 4-irons at Gooch’s ankles?
