Mizuno S23 Wedges

Just looked through the specs on the mizuno website and seen I can get my full wedge set-up (46, 50, 54, 58) all with the same bounce of 8 degrees. Interesting.

It was time to replace my trusty S18 gap wedge. The S23 shape is slightly different, the face appears a hair larger with a sharper higher toe in particular.

I’ll try to get that, but the s23 is a bigger profile heel to toe and leading edge to top of face than the Glide 4

That's what it seems like but I was wondering by how much. I'm likely going with glides this year but the Mizuno forgiveness is appealing.

Just got my 58-12 and 54-10 in.  These are side by side pics with my SM8s.  Hit a number of balls into net in garage.  Crazy soft.  Not clicky at all...feel like Mizuno irons.

Gonna have to keep an eye on these, love my scratch wedges but these look fantastic.

Just played my first round of 18 with S23s yesterday. These wedges look great behind ball and just as workable as my SM8s(I really dont like the look of the back of them but I dont see it when at address).  The feeling off the face is so soft and Mizuno buttery smooth.  Feel is addicting!  I have had the Mizuno T7s, Ping Stealth 2.0 and the Sm8s as my last 3 sets.  These feel much better than all of them.  The forgiveness claims from Mizuno may be true but I haven't played enough with them to compare against other sets.  Spin is crazy on these but new wedges usually have tons of bite.  I used the 58-12 to flop a couple shots off some bad lie and the sole grind felt great.  I feel like I can hit any shot with these. Very happy so far.

Does anyone know what grind is closest to the es21 58 wide sole 8 bounce  as i hate the looks of the es21 but it flat out performs need to replace as worn and prefer the look of the s23.

There were a few at my golf galaxy when I rolled through yesterday. Not a full rack, but 3-4 maybe?

Definitely odd, my local PGA SS and GG both only have 1 on the rack. I asked the GM of GG and they said Mizuno told them it will be a few weeks before they have them in stock.

Very interested in these, maybe in the minority here, but have always enjoyed miz wedge feel and shape if you can get a grind that suits you. 
 

how do these compare Vs the T22 series? Do the T22 launch noticeably lower on half to full swings? Much in it in terms of feel? These will be on the short list to check out for SW/LW spots in the bag when I sort new irons (am going to GW in whatever iron set I get, as I tend to use GW at 3/4+ sized swings almost exclusively)

Bit of a vanity thing but can any one post pics of these in the bag with their whole iron set? I have t100/sm8 and it just blends so smooth. Unsure how it will look... Wont really deter me but I'm always proud when the bag looks 💯

Have 48S/54S/58C in my Mizuno bag blending with JPX 923 HMPs. Have the JPX 923 Forged on the way which I’m sure will look even better. Will take an outside pic on the course when they arrive.

Looks really good. If I could have it my way I'd play i230 with glides in the spring and one it gets firm in summer, switch into some jpx tours with the S23 (less bounce for summer).

I have my T100s and SM8s (54/S. 58/M) as my gamer set once it starts to dry out and summer type conditions. Although may keep switching in and out with the JPX set too, really enjoying them.

True, I do already have T100/SM8 set up; that's what I've been in now for 2 seasons. I could keep T100 and go Sm9 but I think that the technology with Mizuno, Ping and even Cleveland wedges is now surpassing vokey.

I just played SM8s for the last 2 seasons.  I have played a few rounds with the S23s and I can say they are more forgiving and much much better feeling.  Toe shots into the green(my miss) still get there whereas I was a bit short with the SM8s.  The feel off the club with a good ball is unreal soft as well.
