I'm interested in the Nano puff, Micro puff or Nano Air.  Just wondering if anyone has any experience with these jackets for golf. Just want to make sure they don't restrict too much from a golf swing. 

 

 

EDIT : I have to add. The goal here is to find a INSULATED jacket that is very warm but thin and stretchy at the same time. I own the Norse jacket. So i am good for 40 degree temps and lower. The norse is sometimes too warm for 50s. i want something (INSULATED) that can i can wear in the 40s and 50s with maybe a very thin layer under. i feel as though the Patagonia NANO AIR is def warm and thin enough and may have stretch.. i may just have to buy and try it out.

No, there are much better brands out there that make jackets specifically for golf.

The correct fit. Patagonias fit is awful for swinging a golf club. Short and wide. RLX Golf and Footjoy in terms of jackets all day every dayfor me. I’d even take Nike over Patagonia.

for the record,, i have since switched my decision over to wearing a vest as opposed to a jacket. I have a couple weeks before i make my decision which vest im going with. For now, im interested in the Patagonia Nano Air vest. The reviews are great. Its stretchy, warm and super breathable. 

 

Never wore a vest for golf before.

Patagonia is legendary for their quality. Having said that, I have an Arc'teryx Atom LT vest which would be perfect for playing golf in the arctic.

+1 on the Atom LT.  Vest and jacket are both fantastic options for golf.

Trying out the Mountain Hardwear Kor Stasis hoodie this year - for both hiking and golf. 
Seems similar to the Adidas Frostguard stuff but with better tech.

Totally agree!  The material they use does not work well for a golf swing, at least for me.  Outside of golf, love their stuff!

Yup

I should add their baselayer stuff is great for golf too. 

other than that, it's a no go for golf wear for me.

I have a Arcteryx Solano hoodie which is very nice, especially if layered underneath. Not has puffy as their Atom LT/AR but I think just as effective. It's not super warm but also not super intrusive and puffy to affect swing. I think Arcteryx changed all their models recently, I actually don't think the Solano is available anymore, but the one I have is a GoreTex Infinium (not waterproof but water repellent?). eBay might be your friend finding one of these.

I have a Rab Cirrus Flex 2.0 that is great for golf around 40  F.  Fairly fitting cut but still flexible.

Hit the putting green today with my lightweight puffy jacket and a Nike swim long sleeve in 42 degree weather with 15 to 20 mph winds. The warmth and lightweight feel was shocking. I've had sweaters that felt heavier. There are four-way stretch Primaloft jackets now. I think they could be great. But I have 3 or 4 wool sweaters in a drawer. I think that's probably the best for a free golf swing in the cold.
