Fujikura Ventus TR Black 5X

Anyone tested this shaft yet? Able to give feedback? Noticed the torque is quite a bit higher in the 50g range vs 60g. Does that produce more feel and kick?

The 5x doesn't kick more than the 6x IMO.  I got a slight uptick in ball speed though.

So you settled on the 5X?  Did you tip yours?  Mind me asking what your driver SS is?

I didn't but I did test it recently.  My ss is 118.

What shaft are you currently in? I can’t keep up with what your gamer is since you test a lot of shaft. Lol

TB 60TX.  My misses aren't as pronounced and the added spin keeps the ball in the air longer as well.

I’ve never tried the TB. In the ventus black 8x in the 3 wood and 10tx in a DI but the driver is still in the air. In between the 1k black 6x/6tx. I really like it but still have more testing to do. The ventus black in the driver I don’t love like I do in the 3 wood so going into the off season I’m looking at different options.

What exactly are you looking for in a driver shaft?  Have you tried the TR black?

I have but in my stealth but not since I switched to the TSR4. Been debating on grabbing one to try again in this head. The 6x just feels different than the 8x for some reason. I struggled with a 6x in the tsr4 but really liked it in the stealth but it was tipped an inch over the 1/2 in the tsr. I don’t know if it’s the weight of it compared to the 8x.

I just picked up the 5x. I hit it very well but not quite as good as my gamer, which is Graphite Design XC 6X. Might try a bit more but will likely sell it and continue down the rabbit hole......

I have the 7X and absolutely love it.  It performs exactly like the OG black on trackman but has less kick and feels a lot smoother.
