CPO's customer service is top notch though, they have always made it right for me and I'm sure they will for you as well.  If you call them, they'll give you an RMA and label, if you call a rep directly they might even be able to go through inventory and find exactly what you're looking for.  

 

For sure, I will continue to feed my club addiction through CPO! They've never done me wrong

 

I wasnt sure if I had a misunderstanding of what "tour certified" meant or something.

It is in fact mislabeled. Every single "3 wood" in the rogue ST tour certified listings (LS, MAx, MAx D) is NOT tour issue, they are F and V serials with adjustable hosels (fitting heads) that someone decided were TC tour issue heads even though they are not.

Anyone else been having issues with the trade in program from CPO? Bought a TC Epic Flash 2 months ago and sent my old PXG driver for trade. They received it over 6 weeks ago and no credit. Every other trade in I have received the refund on my credit card in less than 2 weeks.

Known issue that they are way behind on trade-ins.  I think 8-10 weeks.

That is a crazy amount of time. They did send me an email now stating normal time is 10-14 days but expect 55-60 days. Would have been nice to know before trading in a club. I would have just given it to someone I know instead.

I got an email yesterday from them after I asked the status of my trade in.  Mine landed to them about 45 days ago.

 

"We are currently processing trades that were received on 4/4 and we received your trade on 4/7.  

Our apologies for these delays.  We appreciate your patience as we attempt to meet our normal trade processing expectations."

There is a disclaimer on their website about trade in times...I guess you missed it?

Yes I did. Was in too much of a hurry apparently.

This must be intentional.  If you stop and think about it, it would be way too easy to hire a couple FTE at low salary to better manage the trade in process.  I fully understand the “if if ain’t broke, don’t fix it” mentality and I appreciate making money…but this delay is obviously intentional.  They’re acting like a bank for 30-90 days with a lot of money.

It could be as simple as they can't get new employees.  The reasons for that (if true) could be endless, from pay to outdated pre employment requirements to a lack of labor in the area.

Theres quite a bit of training involved in the trade-in process. How to identify fakes, tour issue heads, upgrade shafts - not to mention how to use their internal system to do it all, etc. That accounts for 30 days of training per employee at least.

Agreed.  It’s no small effort.  Of course any of us could pick it up overnight!

Yeah no. Lets break this down. 

 

1) Gone to any retail store recently? Entry level/lower cost labor is not easy to find. Fast/Cheap/Good pick two 🙂

2) They make more margin on selling the used club after processing it then sitting on the cash in a short term no risk product

3) Delays in processing further hurt their bottom line by generating support calls and emails from customers 

 

I just got an email for an older hybrid I traded in (forgot about it, its been a while). Whole $60 back to me they had for say 10 weeks longer than usual.

 

Off to BST to see what I can buy 🙂

they come with the Zelos 8 stiff shaft and you can see that as “like new” in the iron sets drop down but these should be marked as “outlet” IMO and it’s the lowest price of any set on the listing

Haha no. I sell everything I dont use. I only have whats in my bag plus maybe 2-3 clubs in a spare bag in the garage with a few shafts as well.

YMMV but grabbed an outlet 42 inch 2 ball 2021 Armlock putter during the 25% off sale that was supposed to be the 2021 microhinge insert and it ended up being this years model with the white hot insert.

I have a D and 3w that I traded in early April and they confirmed received on 4/7.  Still no trade credit as of today.  I called last week and the nice rep did say they processed it on 5/30.  Not sure why it is taking another week+ to even get the email or credit back to the card.

 

Looks like the 40-45 days per their trade-in site is a bit short at the moment.

It's not Callaway Preowned exactly but wow that 2x Trade In Trade Up deal right now for Paradym line is incredible.  I traded in about 4-5 clubs (all in good condition but clubs I never would have gotten even close to the values on) and got the maximum $500 match so got the Paradym and still have $350 in Callaway credit left over!  Great deal if you have some clubs laying around and want something from the Paradym line.

I just got my email at 10PM, too. I forgot I had trades that hadent processed yet 😂

Putter deal alert?

 

CPO has ROSE GOLD 2019 Toulon Garage H8 (slant neck) Madison model putters for $200 after 20% off (I believe) right now. They have a bunch in stock but they are not listed on the website.

 

These may be left over tour models but not sure as they have quite a few with different shaft options.

Clearance Heads Up

 

CPO just added TONS of inventory to clearance in LIKE NEW and OUTLET conditions from various OEMs and it's all 15% off right now

 

Taylormade putters, Stealth+ drivers, Cobra Drivers LTD line, Ping puters, Odyssey putters, and obviously tons of Callaway stuff.
