Skip the thread for a couple weeks and they finally get some TD Maxes and at $250 no less.

Picked up a 58* MD5 over the weekend.  I wanted to try the LBW grind.  W wedge grind always has more bounce than I prefer, LBW stands for Low Bounce W grind.  I've always liked the MD wedges and now I get to try the LBW 08.

 

It's listed as "like new" condition.  I'd say that 80% of the time that condition comes in shrink wrap and the other 20% it's new and probably sat in a pro shop.

Still on the shelf in a few shops no doubt.  Last I checked they still had a couple locally.  Maybe a buy back or return for credit?  I want to say a lot of the woods I have purchased from them over the years have been demo returns.  

 

On another note, for all of those that keep getting new in plastic clubs from CPO, it's because people like me keep getting the used ones that do not live up to the condition listed lol.  Thankfully, they always do a good job on returns, exchanges, credits.  BUT, it is a pain to have to deal with CS on almost every single purchase and have to do an exchange.  I swear that very few of my CPO purchases didn't require an exchange or return.  

 

I am eagerly waiting for my Jailbird to ship.  I have all off season to sort out exchanges if it comes in poor shape, so I have that going for me lol.  But, hoping I hit the new in plastic lottery this time.

Magnolia just got delivered. So when they said no HC, they really meant it because it didn’t even come with a generic CPO one. 
 

Looks like it’s never touched a ball or they really did a good job of cleaning it up (see pic for label “Refurbished in USA”). 
 

All in all for using $175 I’m calling this a great score.

I also wouldn’t be surprised if it never was refurbished, but they had to have a label or something like that to show it touched hands in USA for import export reasons

They may just not have any listed for purchase. Doesn’t necessarily mean they don’t have them on hand. 
 

worth a call to find out. If they have it I’m sure they’ll get you taken care of.

Hmmm. I ordered my TD Max at 6:35 AM CST yesterday and have yet to get a shipping email. Ordered a 10.5 head.

Welp, called CS and they offered to "upgrade" me to a 2023 Paradym lol. Acted like they were doing me a favor. Said no more TD Max in stock.

I just received a club that's significantly different than what was ordered.  Now the hassle of shipping it back, waiting for it to process through and maybe getting a replacement begins.

 

The club is in great shape so there is that, lol.

I can understand that, not too many golf geeks walking around Austin looking for work I'd bet.

 

What's really crazy is that this is not the first time it's happened.  How in the world is a steel shafted club with a completely different sole grind picked and sent for a graphite order, especially with a wedge?  Another thought is how is there a bar coded sticker on the bottom of the club that is incorrect?  It's the second time for me, both times.  It's also the last time.

It's not my fault that the wrong wedge was sent to me.  Why does cpo require me to admit fault for a return?  Is it a visa thing?

Pretty sure return options are just for data collection/internal purposes. 
 

If it makes you feel better, it’s not really “admitting fault”, “Condition” is on there and that’s not really on your end. If you don’t want to return it that way, a call through CS will get it settled, might have a replacement for what you ordered shipped out or could just ask for an RMA for label/refund. 

As of right now with CPO, if you’ve read the two or three threads on Deal or No Deal, CPO is switching warehouses, everything’s a mess. Might be going through some change processes as well, seeing how in the last year they’ve had more problems with sending wrong items, who knows. 
 

In the end, they’re still one of the best places price/value wise to grab stuff used online, have great CS and decent trade in value on their own stuff.

That's all good news but I'm aghast at why I can't select an  option similar to "wrong item sent/received".  Why in the world would I have to check a box that basically says I screwed up?  I was very clear, cpo screwed up and I'm not bearing false witness just for a return.

Hey I get it, I’ve probably received 6-8 orders that had the wrong item from CPO, both from normal listing and clearance within the last year. 
 

Maybe 3 of those I just did that online return since I knew they didn’t have a replacement for it and calling an agent would be useless finding a replacement. 
 

If nothing’s changed since the last time you they screwed up an order (like Aug?) if you call in, they’ll offer 10% off what you bought for, if you keep the item otherwise they’ll send you a label.
