Does CPO ebay lag behind CPO?  I see the clubs I'm interested in showing $75 cheaper on CPO Ebay vs the CPO site.

I noticed that a lot of the triple diamond max heads and the minis were on Ebay ahead of being available on the CPO site a few weeks ago.  I was able to email my rep to make sure he reserved one for me with a screen shot from ebay.  Presumably you could just go through ebay but then i don't know what the return / refund policy is

good to know.  I got lucky and or my rep hooked it up, because the price was a little higher than what I had seen on the ebay site, but he jammed in an upcharge shaft at no cost worth much more than the price difference I had asked for if it was available in our email exchange.

I can’t remember if I read this somewhere, but is there a callaway rep we should be contacting if we want to buy something from the site? Were people getting coupon codes or some type of golfwrx discount?

He may or may not be the same person as @third-times-a-charm 😄.  No WRX coupon code that I'm aware of, but if you call, they can often times match a sale price from within the last couple of weeks.

For example, a putter I wanted was 15% off. Cole got me 20% off. If it’s already 20-40% off he can’t do much there.

Yep, well Callaway needs to step up and hire more personnel. It is one thing when we cannot get through to CS. That is an issue and a problem. 

 

It is another thing when many of us, including me, are waiting upwards of 1-2 months to get credited for trade-ins, returns, etc. I have made two trade-ins within the past few weeks, one in excess of $1k, and not only do I not have the credit yet, but the longer it goes, the more I am inclined to forget about the whole dang thing. Conversely, I received credit for a Taylormade trade-in within a week (as it should be).

Yes, you’d think much of the trade in inventory is depreciating every day it sits and waits to be processed. That’s the odd part to me.

Just picked up this interesting one: Epic Speed TD 3 wood with adjustable hosel and two weights.  I guess the sub zero version of the Epic Speed.

 

It was listed as a tour certified with adjustable (found through the search).

 

Shaft is a Kai'li blue 70tx "prototype".

 

Also came with a double dash adapter (flat lie?).

 

Annoyingly, there is a big scuff on the back line, which I think is from just being thrown in the box without the headcover being put on (or even a plastic bag over the head).

Very cool club! Yes the double dash adapter is -1 lie (flat) and I've sold one on ebay for $100 by itself before since they are tour only.

 

I actually have one in the bag with my retail ai smoke 4w. 

 

I used to buy those TC epic speeds from Cole before they ever got listed on the website for almost 2 years now.

But seriously, F them. I have several trades and returns in limbo with Callaway that I need to keep calling them about. Weeks go by, no credit back, no gift cards, etc. They’ve really sunk to unreal depths.

Yeah, unfortunately I did today 😞  , supposedly that $2500 total is combined with the Callaway new site too (I got new irons and wedges when they had the 50% bonus going there).

I had a trade received by them on 2/21 and didn't get the refund to my card until earlier this week on 4/25.  Been inconsistent and terrible this year.

Lot of neg press lately. I get the complaints to some extent, but this is still 1st world problems.

 

They are still swamped from a CS perspective. Just a fact. I have never not been paid for a trade in the 5+ years using CPO. 

 

I made a boo boo last week. Now in my defense, their web site could do a better job of pictures: when your order accidentally has a LH club, show the LH club image, not RH 🤣.

 

Call back from a rep after I was on hold a bit, I apologize profusely, they find the same RH wedge (was not listed, their inventory is huge sometimes) and easy peasy RMA.

Two things can be true—1. Not life or death kind of stuff. 2. Callaway is still a bit of a sxxtshow right now.

 

That said, through calling (which is its own set of hassles), CS has pushed through all of my dormant trade-ins, returns, etc. over the past few days. I think they have received the correct direction from above to expedite the processes that are languishing if a customer calls.

Well,  I think it takes 1 day for the order to get routed via donkey  from Austin to DFW.  Add 1 day to    locate the clubs  in the new mas grande  warehouse. Another day to get consensus  if the clubs are   LH or RH. Add another day to get some  very large boxes. Add yet another day to arrange the clubs in the box  for maximum damage. And of course 1 more day to locate the number  and call the dude with the big brown truck for pick up.  

5-7days is nothing. Refunds and trades on the other hand...

You mean sorry if you've missed the last 6 months of posts?  😄

 

They moved warehouses late 2024 and have been behind due to sorting and cataloging their inventory.  Then it seems they hired a bunch of warehouse workers who don't know golf because there's been an increase in the number of wrong clubs sent out (like my TriHot 5K seven showing up looking an awful lot like a Versa 3T) and/or clubs sent out with zero protection (so a like new driver shows up with scratches all over it).  That leads to more returns while they're already behind.  Then Callaway does the 1.5x trade in bonus, so there's even more clubs being processed through CPO.  Callaway's trade in values are some of the best around, and you can find some really good deals on CPO with all the sales they run, so activity hasn't slowed down.  We're just coming to the forums to complain about it more.

It just makes me laugh when people still come on here defending CPO. 

 

Let’s break it down to most of CPOs issues. 
 

- Long processing times for shipping

- Poor packaging resulting in damaged clubs

- Extra long processing time for trade ins 

- CPO sending out wrong orders

- Long wait times to get in touch with customer service 

 

And folks still want to say “well their CS is great they will take care of you” “they are backlogged from the move” ect. 
 

If any other vendor had the issues they had they would be up for vote to be stoned in the street, and heaven forbid one of our members ship a club out without packaging, there would be no excuse in the book. 
 

I think at this point if you gamble buying anything from CPO you kind of deserve whatever you get based on their recent track record.

HAHA so it seems I poked the bear lol! Either way I hope the driver I bought comes in good condition at some point this month!
