Seems like all of the time. However this one seems a bit odd, like they raised prices and then added the discount. I bought like new putter from them last month and it was ~$240 and the same putter now with the same discount is 295

Recall the POS watch brand Invicta marketing ploy w/ “MSRP of $1000 on sale for just $149.99.”

Placed an order on CPO Monday for a “like new” AI One Double Wide CH and just got it today.  Brand new, still in plastic with the stock head over which I honestly wasn’t expecting all for 184(9.95 for shipping).  I’m more than pleased to say the least.

Good to know in the future, but the actual price of the putter was 164, the rest was tax+shipping.

Discount went up this last weekend. I held off buying an additional hybrid at 25%, but got an email Fri night saying they were going to 35% for Presidents weekend. It was just too much pressure to withstand the temptation...pulled the trigger Sat am...lol

I’ve been watching a putter, when it was 20% off it was $100 cheaper than it is now with 30% off haha

For what it’s worth, I don’t think CPO is in the habit of marking up to mark down. However, I do think their prices change based on inventory and what they’re seeing with demand on certain products. I.E. the White Hot Bird 7 shot up in price a couple years back when people were trying to make their own CB jailbirds.

While usually I agree with this. CPO has always seemed to stay pretty consistent with their pricing. But the last two “sales” have been different. Here is what I paid for an AI One Milled 7 DB a couple months ago. I regrettably sold it and just have been watching them since. It’s now on a larger sale and the price is over $100 higher. I don’t think this model has particularly shot up in demand.

No idea. I’m guessing there is some type of AI or algorithm they use. They consider it in high demand with 120 clicks today and their stock could have diminished since your purchase. 
 

I have traditionally always called my favorite Customer Service rep and he’s been awesome about looking back through all the past sales and giving me the best price possible. Would highly recommend all to do the same.

That's great advice.  I will try that, but honestly its probably a good thing is I have 8 putters now so I am running out of room to hide them all from my wife 😁

Ive noticed a lot more of their drivers have aftermarket shafts in them now as well.  Obviously the price reflects it but I have seen a bunch of velocores on their AI smokes.

Bastards—I ordered an Ai Smoke TD in Average condition, and it showed up brand new in plastic. They have some nerve… 😉.

 

Seriously, you just never know what you are going to get from CPO. Sometimes ya win, sometimes ya lose.

 

Edit to add: it did show up with a RH shaft in a LH head, almost like what they used to do with their Clearance section. No issue obviously (and I would likely use one of my own shafts anyway), but a newbie would likely have no idea.

Not quite—loft is inverted, but lie is the same. So, if I wanted +1/D with a RH shaft on LH head, I would do S/D.

Seems hit or miss lately.  I see the post above about an 'Average' condition that came in plastic , yet I ordered a Very Good fairway that arrived Friday with rust spots and pitting across the face.  I've never seen this before on the face of a driver/fairway that is otherwise in good condition.  I'm not sure how this passes as anything above average.

Has anyone ever dealt with glue residue THIS bad before? Ordered a couple like new raw face wedges. The first one I cleaned up wasn't nearly this bad but it took forever. I used WD40, and rubbing alcohol to get it removed. Let me tell you how much fun the grooves were to clean. But the residue on this wedge is almost hardened. The chemicals just wipe off the surface of the glue and I can't remove it.

If that is a raw finish then that is the wax they put on them to keep them from rusting while on the shelf since that is what the raw finish is designed to do.  It will come off with time.

Kinda neither here nor there, but this stuff is incredible at removing crud.  It's as advertised I guess haha.  Works a treat on the glue residue from those UPC stickers on the bottom of shafts.
