Playing a 4w and graphite shafted hollow 3i on one end and a 57 and a 64 on the other end, that plus a driver and putter gets me to 14...

This is my exact setup except my PW is 45 degrees. I go driver then 4w then 7w. My wedges are 50/54/58

Picked up a set of the OG zx5 in 4-6 and zx7 in 7-pw. In search of a zx7 6i, would prefer to split the set there as they are very forgiving.

 

great clubs and turf interaction thus far. Can definitely hear the clickiness of the zx5 though

I wish I had a good answer as initially I'm not sure I noticed much difference going back to the 120g shafts. I had/have played 120's my entire golfing life which is a long time. Nothing else at the top or bottom of the bag has or had been changed also. After paying a little closer attention yesterday I'm going to say I'm glad I've gone back to the heavier shaft. I believe they are a bit more stable, more consistent for me.

 

Had the NSPro 105 in the OG 7's.  the MKII's are the NSPro 120's

 

I thought going back to the heavier shaft might cost me a bit of distance because most will say you swing the lighter shaft faster...  certainly not been the case for me and if anything, just the opposite.

I've hit the Zx4 MK IIs twice now.  Oh, my, they feel wonderful.  They go longer than anything else I tested and the dispersion is the best.  The only problem is that with my particular swing, I don't hit them high enough and they run too far.  

 

Which doesn't mean I won't pick up a used set down the road a bit, just to try them out . . . Did I mention they feel great and go far?

Had a chance to hit these yet? Can you comment on the gapping going from zx4 to zx5 looking to break the set in the same place as you. Do you have any photos of the zx5 gap wedge?

A different shaft can help that out. Also try the zx5, I found they launch a touch higher, which I didn't expect..

Thanks for the suggestion, Long Shot.  I did try the zx5s, but they didn't launch higher or perform better for me than the zx4s.  Since I'm an old fart with a 7 iron swing that at best hits 76-78, I suspect the swing speed is the culprit.  And the Mizuno 923 HLs are designed precisely for old farts like me so the ball gets up there higher.

I haven't hit those, but would suspect anything Mizuno would feel as good as anything in the Srixon line if not even softer. Enjoy!!

Really wish I had jumped on that last night... I saw the topic and had my cart loaded up... then said I'd sleep on it till morning.  Morning came and the deal was dead.  Gotta say I'm still so happy with my 745s and they're in great shape so no need to upgrade but that was just silly.

Yeah I've been looking to upgrade my 585 5 iron only because that model has a black ring around the cavity and I thought the zx5s would actually blend a bit better with my 785s, but then I just said screw it lets get everything.

Did they honor it?  I assumed everyone was going to get a 'website had a coding error, we are unfortunately not going to be able to fill you purchase. A full refund has been given to your credit card....' email...

 

It was fixed within a couple of hours.  And I'm sure somebody got chewed out after the site got a spike of orders and guys going buckwild with large orders.

I’m really interested in the zx4’s. I tend to get really steep and the vt sole intrigues me. Tough to find Srixon around my area let alone to be able to try them on grass. I like My original 0211 irons but I’m ready for a change. Anyone else go from 0211 to Srixon?

I was able to order the Zx7s 4-P because I couldnt pass that up. I just got shipping confirmation and they will arrive Wednesday. Pretty quick turnaround to ship on the same business day. Custom orders will probably be longer though.

what shafts did y'all choose for ZX MK2 series? i was initially fitted with mizuno 223 and DG 105 S200. Played the Modus 105 Stiff and Project X 6.0. felt that they are too light and too heavy respectively. I do not have the option to get fitted locally for the ZX Mk2 series.

 

was eyeing the stock shaft Modus 120 Stiff but read that they are probably in pair with Modus 105 regular. I probably have medium tempo, prefer medium trajectory with swing speed around 88-92 mph

With medium all around, try a project x IO 6.0.  They were too slow for my tempo, but when I made myself swing 70%, they produced some money results when I had them on Mizuno Pro 225.  They're completely different than the Project X rifles and the rest of the PX lineup.

I can’t speak on the 0211s. I came from Ping Gs and just got a set of zx4 mkiis a few weeks ago. Played on really wet turf about a week ago (last time I got to play because of all the rain we are getting here). Turf interaction of the soles was phenomenal. They would get in and out without a tendency to dig too much. zx4s are really easy to hit and fly when you hit the center. Forgiveness has been good in my few rounds with them. Feel is fantastic in my opinion. I chose them over zx5. My only “complaint” thus far has been that the longer irons (5-8) spin sufficiently less for me with my gamer ball (z-star), that I need to look at a ball change. Tested z-star diamond for a round and didn’t notice the issue with that ball. But need to do more testing. 9-AW, no issue with the spin and felt very controlled flight. Really happy with the irons overall and think they will be fantastic once I get the ball dialed in. I play off a 9 handicap currently.

I've never had good luck with the modus 120s...nor KBS shafts to be honest.  Try the PX LZ 5.5 for your tempo, etc.  I play LZ 6.0 and they're consistently one of my favs - up there with Oban, but a fraction of the price.

I used the Mizuno Shaft Optimizer a few weeks ago.   
 

It had the DG105 S300 as the best fit (4.9).  The Modus 105s I had in my old Srixons was 4th on the list (4.2)

 

I didn’t like the DG105s in the Hot Metals. But not sure if it was heard, shafts or fit.  
 

So I ordered my MK2s with Modus 105s because I know how they will perform with it. They launch high, but have a strong ball flight that is fine in the wind. 
 

The Modus 120 is a different profile, IIRC…so not sure if 105 to 120 will play the same. 
 

one thing I learned in my fitting is shafts are personal and profiles feel really different.  I’d spend 10 minutes on the MSO if you have a big box nearby.
