Received my set of ZX5 MkII from Srixon today. Used 2 day shipping and bought stock. Couldn’t pass on them for the price on Sunday.

It was fixed within a couple of hours.  And I'm sure somebody got chewed out after the site got a spike of orders and guys going buckwild with large orders.

 

 

I heard they are honoring only the ones that seem appropriate. Meaning those who might buy like 10 sets to flip are declined. My friend order 3 different setups and srixon is honoring them.

It makes sense. I thought something was sketchy and didn't pull the trigger. Then paid full freight for some MK2s the next day.  Well sort of. I returned the Mizunos I bought under the playability program and ordered a set of MK5s.  I probably would have come ahead just ordering on Sunday and selling the barely used Mizunos.  But you snooze and lose sometimes in life...

Dumb question maybe but is there any way on the Dunlop website to get a better idea of where in the process a custom order is?

 

I read a few of you are waiting on specific shafts, how did you find out they were not in stock/get a better idea on when your build would happen?

Had a fitting today - i230, ZX5/7 combo and 923 Forged were contenders.  I know the stock ping loft on 7 is 33* vs 31 and 30 respectively, and mizuno are flatter stock…I found the ping were going higher and shorter than the other two by 10-15 yards consistently.  LZ6.0 shafts on all…not even sure the power spec could make up the difference.  They do go straight…but my fitter ruled them out early on.  
 

Right now it’s a dog fight between the 923 and a ZX combo set - ZXU for 4, ZX5 for 5-7 and ZX7 8-P.  ZX5 was launching slightly higher - May have been the 1* stronger mizuno loft.

anyone know turn around time on ordering sets? rep should have placed order around 2/14. when should i expect it? ordered zx5 mark ii with $ taper shafts. thanks

Yes. He called Srixon customer service and was told that they were going to guarantee his order.

Well my order was just cancelled. 5-AW with steelfibers. Guess I will be sticking with Ping and won’t be giving Srixon a chance after all… bummer

My "buddies" were also canceled.

He ordered 3-pw DG TI X100. He said he was really looking forward to trying them out.

Also ordered 2 raw Zipcore RTX6 wedges, waiting to see if those will get cancelled also.

I was a little too slow on that 50% off glitch. Had 3-9 on the ZX7 irons 2 degrees weak added and was working on adding a 48* RTX when the glitch stopped. Guess I didn’t miss out on a sweet deal according to this thread. I’ll have to wait till the fall

Yup. My buddy’s was just cancelled too even though someone there had said it would be honored.

Mine also cancelled - ZX5 6-AW plus two CBX Zipcores.  That's understandable so I am not upset.

I just got shipping confirmation that the irons I ordered Sunday are on a FedEx truck headed my way. Should be delivered tomorrow. Custom shaft, lie angle, and grip. I have no idea why some are processing and some aren’t. I guess I’m just lucky.

I wonder if somebody pulled the plug after seeing the bath they were taking on online sales. But it was after some of the orders had already proceeded.

For reference that basically puts it at the same price as the closeout price of the OG ones a few months ago. Quite a steal
