I am almost certain that Rose is wearing Puma shoes today at the Players, maybe some sort of deal is in the making?

Not sure that any professional golfer has tried out more shoes than Justin Rose!

Nantz isnt critical of anyone and certainly not of any equipment. He is the lead commentator, He's there to discuss who's winning. Scoreboard has nothing to do with who's sponsored

Nance has gotten on his soapbox about PReed.

Like him or hate him it is pretty cool he puts this out there. I’m glad to see him as a FA. I hope DJ becomes a FA bc that would be really interesting too

Side note- I am noticing tons of Ping in LIV bags. Both FA and sponsored guys. I think the whole Torque team is sponsored by Ping

I don't like Bryson but concede that seeing his bag as a FA is interesting. I do like DJ but can't imagine why anybody would care about his bag. He plays blades w/ x100 shafts and the shafts he has in his woods shouldn't be considered by 99% of golfers. The dude is 6'4" with damn near gymnast levels of flexibility and swings 125 mph. Most can't game DJs equipment and probably shouldn't even try. Hell, not even Tony Finau should be peaking at DJs equipment. The dude is a unicorn.

Ping has certainly seemed welcoming. But their is still no mention of LIV on their website. They still have Bubba / Joaquin / Westwood and others under the PGA banner...

Yet everyone on this board peaks at Tigers bag every time he plays.

DJ has been with one brand his whole career so of course it would be interesting. Just like it was interesting with Brooks when he was a FA or like Adam Scott currently.

Tiger is not the physical mutant DJ is. Tiger isn't 6'4" w/ an NBA like wing span and Tiger doesn't hit the ball with huge wrist flexion and insane levels of side bend. You'll never be as talented as Tiger but you can learn something from his swing. Especially now that he's physically limited. He's always had classic positions and textbook fundamentals.

As for DJ, sure, maybe he switches to Titleist MBs, Mizuno 221, or goes off the beaten path with Artisan. Whatever it is, it's gonna be a blade w/ x100 shafts. With driver maybe he switches to TSR3 or Paradym Triple Diamond. The shaft probably stays the same and it only fit  for the very very few. Sure, if he went off the wall with a Wilson or Mizuno driver, that would be interesting. It just probably isn't going to happen.

Was Scott that interesting? He just had Miura copy his Titleist MBs. If he put the TC -201 or something like that in play, that would have been interesting. He's switching drivers like every week because he can't find something that works.

Brooks was interesting for a couple reasons. He was just coming into his own and was part of the wave of Nike guys that all of a sudden lost their equipment. What made his choice interesting was that I'm sure there were plenty of OEMs that wanted his services and he choose to stay a FA. 2nd, while picking Mizuno wasn't a surprise, a few of the displaced Nike pros did, the fact that he choose the JPX Tours over the MP line was interesting.

YMMV

I think we just disagree on DJ being interesting. Any well known FA is probably going to be interesting to me especially when they’ve been with an oem for so long

Again, I like DJ. One of my favorite guys to watch play of all time. And if he made a surprise switch like Wilson Staff blades, i230, even T100. I would find that interesting.

I could see him getting a different putter for sure. He’s also got 3 fw woods in the bag too so that’s not typical of a player like him

I read a while ago that Poulter is no longer contracted with Titleist. Has this been confirmed?

Matt Wallace did his Callaway deal end early? He only joined at the start of 2020 so it must been a short deal unless they parted ways.

Poulter isn't listed on the Titleist website as a Tour player

Cracks me up, cause Tiger is peekin in every tour players bag, constantly asking guys about their clubs, checking out other players clubs, asking other players about feels for certain shots. But everyone already knows what's in his bag down to the smallest detail.
