I'm a Callaway fan, and have been gaming the Epic Speed. I hit the TSi2 and the TSR3 and honesty I'm having a hard time not retipping my Driver shaft and grabbing a TSi2 head (just for the savings) It and the TSR3 were lovely.

My point to that user was that no, it's not at all forged carbon fiber like forged C1018 is a lump of 1018 that's been heated past austenitization temp and then beaten in to shape... and "Randomly Oriented CF-Thermoset Resin Composite" doesn't quite roll off the tongue 😉

 

Maybe "marketing term" was harsh. Colloquialism is probably more suitable.

On topic, I think it looks cool. Shape is great and the color reminds me of the Nike T40 I had way back when. I'm a little undecided on how I feel with the visual clash between woven crown and unwoven sole, and as one other poster pointed out there's panel fitment issues between the two also, but whatever - it's probably going to be $700 when it comes out and my current stick is plenty good enough.

"Forged" carbon is essentially the same process used to create particle board.  Take a bunch of shavings and squash them down using heat/glue into the shape you want to form.  The graphite bits aren't in a woven sheet pattern like the carbon fiber that's been used in the crowns of drivers, etc.

Colour looks very similiar to the Peacoat blue version of the LTDx drivers. Crown's look almost identical at least from the pictures.

Shaping is very similar to rogue st 3D. I thought there was a sliding track on this new 3D?

Mixed feelings. Looks better than what people described. It might be the best looking callaway driver  to my eye but that isnt saying a whole lot because generally i dont like the look of callaways.

I think it looks fine and I’ve learned not to judge too much by photos. I’m definitely trying it. The color looks like the B21, which I like. The Rogue ST LS has been so fantastic — it bested many challengers and I’ve never been in the fairway so much. Whatever Callaway came with next, I’m hitting it. If they have preserved the same and feel, that would be great.

Not a lot of adjustability here... no toe or heel weights. That's why I'm looking at PXG Gen 5. I guess they'll have a draw version.

This is the LS version.  They'll be two other models for the masses.

Count me in the group that really likes the new look. Not sure why all the hate on this new design when we've had multi-material crowns for years now. Same goes for the name - aren't all the names that brands come up with arbitrary? Who cares if it's a marketing term like Diablo/Rogue/etc? In ten years I bet we'll remember these names a lot easier than stuff like TS3, TSi3, TSr3.

 

As for performance, I'm excited to hit these when they're available. I actually really didn't like the Rogue ST line even though the aesthetics were great. Specifically due to how closed they sit at address (IMO). No amount of lowered loft would get rid of the tendency for the face to sit shut on the ground. So hopefully this new lineup sits more neutral/open.

Not on the Triple D, only on one of the other models.

I personally don’t get along with multi material crowns because I’m a headcase and love my Rogue ST TD (non-LS), so I will pass, but it’s a cool-looking driver. Let them have fun!

Callaway severely missed the mark with the look of this driver. I am sure it will perform well but it looks really bad to me.

The blue coloring looks just like the black on the GBB driver that just came out.  Not a fan myself.
