Anyone else NOT on the "Good Good" train?

I'm curious, what is their format?  Are they informative, instructional, humor, or something else?

 

I've only seen one video from them and it was the tall goofy one taking a tour of the new Mizuno HQ in Braselton.  I had to turn it off after he kept referring to lie angle, length, loft specs as "club stats".  It was like listening to a 30 capper talking about how he likes to "shoot golf" or nails on a chalkboard.  I've unfairly never given them another shot after cutting it off early in fear that they were going to talk about how playing blades makes you a better ball striker.  

 

Maybe I should try again.  I like a lot of the casual golf content out there like CPG, Zire, Roger Steele, and Bob does sports among a few.

I’ll never understand how or why good good is that popular. I just don’t get it. There’s nothing entertaining about it. Bob does sports crew is way more entertaining

I have watched some of their yt videos, but quickly moved on from them. I guess I am just a bit older than their target demo. The one thing that I fear their popularity is causing is that local youths are trying to duplicate their format. Two times this past summer I have rolled up on a group that had about 8 loud highschool aged kids and a couple of guys recording them down the fairway. The first time, I saw them all on the 2nd tee as I was pulling into the course (local muni), didn't think much of it. By the time I checked in at the proshop, putted for 5 minutes on practice green, did a bit of stretching, and played the first two holes they had just started teeing off on #3 and showed no intention of letting me play thru. I had to call the proshop and see if I could move over to the back nine.

This guy. At first I thought they were OK. But they wore on me quickly. I think of them as the boy band of the YT golf world.

Videos are too long IMO and too much bro no way bro

I'm still waiting for Club Pro Guy to get the attention that channel deserves. The humour/satire is just through and through brilliant. I also recently learned that a lot of his characters also have Twitter accounts / personas.

Not a surprise. Like I said, they're the boy band of YT golf.

Will be interesting to see if they're able to retain their popularity. Guys in their 20s and 30s are more into channels like BDS. The GG crew, or at least what's left of them, is still relatively young. But as they get into their 30s, I doubt a bunch of 12 year olds will still be drawn to them.

I have watched a lot of their videos but my problem is with their personalities.  I absolutely despise Matt.  He just grates the heck out of me.  I give Garrett a lot of credit for the business that he built, and I guess for his loyalty by incorporating his friends in the business, but there is only so many times you can repeat challenges.  I guess for new subscribers, it appears new and fresh, but tired to people that have been around.  This whole Grant and Micah leaving is just dumb.  I wanted to tell you why I left GG, but I just can't go into detail, then don't make a video about nothing and move on.

I am on the good good train , I love what they do . They’re a great example of golf creating inroads to new groups to grow the game, who may never have seen the game in that light before. Understandable to those who don’t like some personalities of the squad,  but painting the game in an inclusive light can really only be positive . I love the current good good squad and hope they keep the s*** going

Just announced that they have signed on as partners with Callaway Golf.

 

Given the NLU team's recent move to Titleist from Callaway I'd love to know if the NLU move allowed for this or if Callaway pushed them aside to get with the larger channel. Timing is just very interesting.

Not on the train and don't typically watch any of it. I am probably on the older side of the demo but their stuff is fine except for that Matt guy. Holy cow that guy is incredibly annoying. Seems like he is on drugs.

They are pretty annoying, but if you watch the individual guys stuff that just left it’s really good. Grant or Micah

Can't stand them. A couple of them are way more annoying than the others but to me they're just kids. I guess they would be funny or entertaining if you're in middle school or something lol. They seem to have a lot of simps thinking they're way better golfers than they actually are which I always found funny.

Big fan of GoodGood up until the recent departure of Grant.  Now it's just the Garrett show with some Luke Kwon mixed in, which just isn't as much fun as it was before.  Matt is an ok golfer and Bubbie is a super positive guy but not a great golfer.  Steve just sucks in general - I can't stand watching the guy on the channel.

They're OK, I watch some of their videos but don't feel like I need to watch all of them.  Bubbie is the only one I typically "root for" when they play because he's good natured.

 

Us older people (35+) just need to lean into Bob Does Sports and appreciate the beauty of Fat Perez.

One thing I have noticed watching Grant and Micah's channels is that they do not seem to be as "edited" as it shows bad shots or not so great shots.

I'm probably too old for their target demo, but I also never really got into them. I've watched one vid that was a collaboration with Rick Shiels and part of a goodwill challenge. A big part of it is I don't really have time to watch the people I'm already subscribed to, and the ones I did watch while not bad, didn't do much to grab me. It's great they're growing the game though.
