I hope they do charge him with attempted murder. I find when we're dealing with sports, for whatever reason the charges don't seem severe enough

The article doesn't note the race of the victim, but given the NAACP got involved, I guess we can assume he is black.  Doesn't necessarily mean race was a factor, but it wouldn't be far-fetched to assume it was either.  Would be sad under any circumstance but is even more so given it seems it was a shot hit in error.  I can't imagine getting so mad on a golf course you'd even think about whacking someone with a club.

Often true but if he's been charged already by the police, there's probably some meat on the bone there that this guy was the aggressor. 

 

Clearly there were witnesses there as I doubt both guys were singles. So I'd imagine it's unlikely it will come back that this was self defense or something. Someone would have told the cops that

I would agree that there is probably some meat on the bone. Just know that early reports sometimes change a little or a lot as facts role in.....Certainly not condoning anyone hitting anyone over the head with a club....I have played a lot of years and never saw it although i have seen two fist fights on the course.

Oh I know where you're coming from. I'm not fan of today's ummm, style of media. 

 

I just think a lot of the times where you see some dramatic changes in details, usually it's instances where charges hadn't been filed and there's a ton of speculation. 

 

Usually if the police believe in something enough to file charges i tend to believe it more.

But consider hitting someone in the head with a golf club. You know you’ll very likely kill them. 
 

I can’t imagine swinging a club at a guys head…unless he came after me and was swinging a club at me.

The shirts are made of a fabric that is very easy to get blood out of, and also stretchy material for maximum torque when you unwind to swing the club at someone. 

 

I think they go over this on their commercials
