Recently bought a G425 5 hybrid to match my 3 hybrid.  Super club which consistently goes high,straight and long.  So much more forgiving than the 4 iron it's replaced.  G425 hybrids are highly recommended.  I can only imagine how accurately Nelly hits hers.

@third-times-a-charm I may have been wrong here.  A friend that is still bagging on the tour told me that she was testing new clubs last week from other brands.  We will see what happens.

 

Personally, I think we will see more equipment free agents on the LPGA in the future.  Lydia commented several times on how much she enjoyed the freedom to adjust her bag at will.

That is strange.  She is still listed as a "featured player", but goes to that default screen when you click her name instead of showing her gear.  She could obviously pick and choose best contracts and play with / for whoever she wants.

In the other thread on 2023 endorsement changes there seems to be a view that she will go to Taylormade.  Looking at some of her previous WITBs, she doesn’t seem to have used much TM product.  Her wedges and putter have been consistently Vokey and Scotty.  For woods she has generally used Titleist or Callaway.  I wonder when we shall find out?

I'd expect to see something just before the TOC in a couple weeks.  The thing spinning most in my head is the ball.  TM and Cally are both requiring ball usage in their new contracts.  All the pros I looped far are more particular about their ball than any stick they swing.  Nelly has played the V1 her whole career, so the ball change would surprise me more than any club change.

 

My money is on free agency.

She had a nearly full bag of TaylorMade with one Ping hybrid and her Scotty today for what it’s worth. I didn’t take any pictures or videos but there are plenty floating around from The BoysNGirls Club of Sarasota event this week. She posed for pictures with everyone with a Stealth2 Driver (Ventus red shaft)

I guess that could mean she is still testing, or she is waiting for an announcement, or she is freelance but using mainly TM.  My head hurts trying to figure this out!  Great spot though and thank you for the picture.

Nice club!! Lucky. 
I wouldn’t doubt it if TM gets her bag. They seem to get a lot of the big names. They have a lot of money to throw around. Interesting to see what shaggs out of this. Either way she’s still amazing. 
It would be cool to see a pro of this caliber with no equipment contact and to see what they really like.

Always love Nelly's WITB.  I usually match up well to the shafts she plays in the woods and hybrid.  Are the i80 iron shafts a standard stiff flex?  I couldn't read the specs on the Diamana driver shaft.  Interesting move to the Stealth2.

She uses stiff - and i90 stiff in her wedges. My wife is playing a set of her old wedge shafts and heads.

I’m guessing TM does custom P7NK irons for her, or she’ll play P7TW’s.

I could see Nelly going 5-6 P770 and then 7-PW in the P7MCs, assuming they don’t do a custom set for her. I don’t see her playing the TWs because LPGA players seem to be sensible about choosing more forgiving equipment that works with their swing speed (unlike us WRXers). 😁

The times that I’ve seen Nelly play she looks like a really good Golfer and seems like she has a very likeable personality though, so I see why she would be very marketable.
