Golf video games need an easy one

I have a play station 3 and T Woods 14, and it murders me when I play it. I play it worse that at the golf course. I need something more user friendly that doesn't elicit foul language on a regular basis.

You could try WGT... putting drives me crazy, but the rest of it isn't too bad.  PGA Tour 2k22/23 are good options as well, but you may need a newer console

See if you can find the 2012 version of Tiger. It's the Masters collaboration one. So that's enough reason to buy it. If anything, it's on the opposite end of the spectrum. In that it's a little too easy. 

In season mode, I have to set the AI scoring to "insane" if I want any sort of a challenge. What's funny is that the AI field scoring is true to life for the Masters tournament. Even with the scoring set to insane. So I end up winning by like 40+ strokes every season.

My favorites were the 2003-2005 era EA Tiger Woods games, particularly the GameCube versions.  The GameCube controller's analog stick had a notched base, as opposed to round.  So, it was very easy to get your swing in the correct "slot", so to speak, for what you were trying to do.  Scoring was ridiculous.

PGA 2k 2022 or something like that on the Switch is pretty easy in normal mode... and it's a cheap game, usually around $20.

But if you put it in advanced mode be prepared to be humbled.

2K22 is a blast too play but much more realistic then Woods' 14. As a result it's quite a bit more demanding. I could pretty regularly shoot in the upper 50's on the Woods game and was never over par. On 2K my scores range anywhere from -7 to +3. 

 

Easiest game I've played would Have to be Hot Shots Golf. Has more of an arcade vibe with cartoon style characters. Not Ultra realistic but will satisfy the golf craving for a casual gamer.

The Master's edition is a blast and much easier to play. I am still on the Nationwide Tour and will be for some time😪. I gotta ask, are these games a real indicator how these course play? If so I will never play Whistling Straights ever, the Greenbrier is a blast and fun to play, gotta wonder! I will probably pick up a PS2 console later on to play TWs 2004 and 2005 or get the 2023 edition altogether. Sure is fun to play golf when it is nasty outside. If I only had room for a simulator.

I just got Switch Sports that recently had golf added to it as a free update
It's not on the box for the game but it downloads when you start it up

Pretty basic and easy to get going

I got the 2K23 and PS4 to try out, and it was very tough at first, now only Quail Hollow is beating me. The greens on Quail Hollow are brutal. The way my body is falling apart, PS4 might be my only golf.

I found out the tricks to humble 2k23, as in course setting. Drop the wind and green speeds, and the white flag pops up!!!

Got the 2021 version and it is very easy on beginner.
