Blast Motion or PRGR for speed training?

Hello,

 

curious what everyone’s thoughts are on each of these for speed training. I have a blue radar but am looking to change devices.

PRGR seems to be more popular for speed training from what I’ve seen.

swing speed is about the only thing that PGRG was good at in my experience. should be pretty accurate.

 

I'm really interested in the blast motion for the other metrics it can measure, so i follow along here in case there are any nice thing comig by 🙂

The Blast seems to be easier, in that you don't need to worry about lighting conditions, distance from the ball, positioning, etc.

I came across the Blast but haven’t seen any reviews for speed. I’m hoping someone can chime in.

I've just gotten Blast Motion and am starting the program next week on Tuesday once my hitting area in the garage is set up. I also have PRGR from previous Super Speed training so I will try and do my best to compare with each other and show the app data and such from Blast Motion. Will try and get something posted here on Wednesday January 4th.

I have both of these now too...I will try to do a comparison.  Initial thoughts are PRGR reads a little lower in speed, but I could be wrong as I am coming off being sick so maybe I'm just not as fast.  

 

Blast has provided fairly accurate swing speed numbers in the past from what I could see..within a few MPH.  Just seemed to get big jumps back and forth in speeds from time to time when using it for speed training.

Pretty dissapointed in Blast Motion for my first usage. Numbers were way off of PRGR. Swapping to each club is clunky and the apps data is slow and difficult to read while it's happening to make sure things are recorded. 

 

Unhappy with the purchase so far. Going to do a little more research to see if I'm doing something wrong but shouldn't be getting 30 mph+ discrepancies.

I'm looking for something relatively cheap to just get clubhead speed data for speed training. Right now I borrowed a friend's PRGR and I see a deal for a SC100 for $125 used. If I don't need to hit a ball with the SC100, I might spring for it.

From what I read, SC100 will not track swing speed without a ball being hit.

I snagged an SC200 from Voice Caddies refurbished store on the bay. It was $100 or so more than a PRGR and it speaks the swing speed which makes it very good for The Stack System. Took it indoors to our clubs Trackman Bay and ball speed and swing speed were almost identical on every shot. Crazy how good and close it was.

That is good to hear. I’ll do some research on the SC200.

Aren't simple swing radar devices like a hundred bucks?
