g430 driver weight - same as g425

Hi All,

 

Just wondering if the driver weights on the g425 can be used on the g430?

I know the g430 comes in at 25g stock where g425 was 26g

They can be used, yes. The new 430 weights don't stick out as far as the 425 weights did however. 

 

I actually replaced my weight with a weight from the G410 series because I got tired of the weights snagging my headcovers all the time. It sits under the lip of the crown and makes getting the headcover on so much easier. The G410 weight is the same gram weight.

Further, does the Ping G425 fairway/hybrid head weights work with the G430 fairway heads?

So the G425 weight "fits" in the G430 but the screw hole is off centered, so you can't secure

Yep discovered this myself 🤦

Just wish they'd keep the weights interchangeable....everytime I upgrade - gotta go to ebay 1st thing for the newer weight version

Possibly the off-centre hole only applies to the regular 430? (the link to the posted image from 202

3 is not dispalying for me now.)

 

I just put a genuine G425 23g weight into my G430 Max 10K head while awaiting the actual G430 replacement weights.  It torqued and seems to sit ok.

 

Hopefully I didn't mess up anything for the real ones to fit after.
