Glide 5.0 Coming?

I believe Hovland uses a 58º ES 2.0

 

Maybe HV3 does? But he doesn’t count anymore, he plays exhibitions.

dont make it a point to know who has what grind. If you want to dig for witb that might answer your question.

I have 54 SS and 58 ES Stealth 2.0 and love them. Love the black finish, but looking to get new 58. Ping needs to hurry up and get them back. Seems like demand is there.

Anyone know if the 4.0 are coming out in RAW finish?  The Forged Pro did (but not the 59.8 Eye 2 Toe boo!) and Bryson is using Raw 4.0's?

I liked the 3.0 more than the 4 not sure why I just never got on with the new ones as well. I have used the 3s for two years and they have held up great though...would love a stealth version of whatever they release next. Pricing was insane I agree with that

During the masters Ping posted about Glides on their instagram (https://www.instagram.com/reel/CqdJhgPPHvV/?igshid=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==) and when asked about 5.0’s they just said “stay tuned..” I was hoping that meant stealth or raw in the near future, but here we are 7 weeks later..

They have not put the trademark through for Glide 5.0 yet, so I imagine it'll be anything else.

 

They've also abandoned the 4.0 Stealth trademark, which disappoints me.

 

Hard to know what's up now. They wouldn't have to trademark anything with a raw, or a variation.

I play the Stealth 2.0 56/WS (picked one up new recently) but coming from CBX line of wedges it looks kinda small to me.

I recently tried a 4.0 Wide in the shop and it appeared larger to me face wise.

all in my head or is the 4.0 slightly larger than the 2.0?

Not sure about the 4.0 vs 2.0 but the W is larger than the S and T.

One of the things they said about the stealth when it came out was that the black finish made it look smaller. I have both and don't notice much of a difference. Loved the 2.0 stealth's and love the 4.0's. I thought the 3.0's were a bit of a dud. I think the softer steel that the stealth's and 4.0's are made out of makes a difference in the feel.

There's not a lot to go by on the trademarks...

 

No "Glide 5.0".

Glide 4.0 Stealth was abandoned.

There's "SPINR"...

Also "S10" that's around the Blueprint S/T S159/S259 iron ™s

Finally a long shot "BUMPIT" - sounds more like a chipper to me, and they went with Chipr of course.

A product's wins or lack of wins means nothing. All this means to me, is everyone is way overthinking equipment. Don't blame a wedge for your bad shot and take some responsibility.

Rumor is that Ping is moving on from the Glide name and that there is an entirely new lineup coming next year.

I’d love to see them branch out into the game improvement wedge  line like a CBX or Callaway CB.
 

I mean I know they sell Single g430 wedges  but would like a specialty wedge a little larger than the glide.

I noticed they significantly dropped the price at GG/PGASS, which usually seems to coincide before a new release? Curious what direction they’d go from here, I love the glides
