AK’s tweet (or whatever the hell they’re called now) is another Rorschach test.

If you don’t like him or where he’s playing you call pull as much negative from it as you want. Drug references, watch sponsors for no reason, took the bag, drug/sponsorship tied together, etc…  
 

If you’re on the other side you can read his tweet as someone who is baring his soul, admitting very publicly that he was a crackhead, and saying that his mental battle is to make his sober side work harder than his drug addict side did. 
 

I don’t think there is a right or wrong in that, perception is personal and based on a lifetime of experience. Just my thought… All the best everyone! ✌🏼

I said early in this thread but I will say it again. It’s too bad the addicts and other disadvantaged people we all see and live with every day don’t get the empathy, understanding and support that a multi million dollar winning (and reportedly losing) pro golfer gets. It’s pretty sad really.

I think the biggest thing he shows is that he's feeling pretty secure staying with LIV, and that these endorsement deals are big bucks. Can't imagine drawing attention to your prior crackheadedness when your job hangs in the balance.

Yeah, i’d agree. I’m sure he also had to be very up front with all of them in regards to his past issues so they knew what they were investing in.

I don't think anyone has a problem w/ him baring his soul. Plenty of athletes and celebrities have spoken openly about their substance abuse problems. Chris Kirk and Greyson Murray were praised for opening up about their alcoholism. What is cringeworthy is tying in marketing and unrelated social hashtags. Why is he shouting out his watch sponsor and draping himself in popular social positions like #girldad when talking about crackheads?

Explain what the companies would have had to go back on since his social media accounts are 5 months old. And his IG account also has 18 posts...total. 

 

Your statement insinuates they had years and years of data to go back to...they arent "full" of anything.

And honestly I see none - zero - documented proof outside of his posts that he actually has signed any endorsement deals.

 

If your argument is that companies had plenty of time and information to dig back through - and then your offering up IG stories as the "proof" - thats just silly. Anyway, companies can do what they want. But usually when a company like Richard Mille - which I would compare Bianchet to - when they sign a guy, you see it on their website or social accounts. Its almost like AK is doing this on his own and hoping they sign him.

You’ll have to forgive my ignorance as I’m not a social media guy, but I was under the impression that what you described is what twitter is. People making comments ranging from boring to foolish or downright outlandish while hastaging and self or product promoting. 
 

And I don’t know what his motives are for saying those things. Maybe girldad is what keeps him sober, and maybe hes thankful for that watch company taking a chance on him which make those

thing relevant in his mind. Or maybe he’s like some jersey shore dude shouting like a d-bag. I don’t know the guy so any inference i’d make would be a complete guess.

Kim is actually somewhat interesting at times because he’s unfiltered whereas many others are run by social media people and are promotional tools

There's certainly no mention of AK. Maybe I missed the they gave me a watch to wear story somewhere?

A hashtag is a search tool. You add them to the post so your post is aggregated the larger discussion of said topic. 

 

For example, lets say you're a new father and just had a baby girl. You have no idea what you're doing. You grew up w/ brothers and know nothing about taking care of or raising a girl. Well, twitter/X/Instagram etc can be really good ways to find information from real people. Knowing this, you type in #girldad into twitter in hopes of learning something new. Anthony Kim's contribution to this topic is to chat about crackheads. Sweet, thanks Anthony. 

 

Or maybe you want a luxury watch and have heard about Bianchet? How does Anthony choose to get the word out for this product? That's right, talking about crackheads. 

 

Is this a big deal in the grand scheme of things? No! of course it isn't. Neither is leaving your shopping cart in the parking lot after a trip to the grocery store. But the people that do so suck and those that are inconsiderate on small things, are typically pretty damn inconsiderate on the big things too.
