... 119* when I got out of my car to go in the theater for Jurassic World Rebirth. Yea, it felt very hot even though it's a dry heat. 🙄 Here is my review of the movie:

... I was parked but yea, that was my cruise control setting. Crazy as it sounds at 9 miles over the limit, I pass nobody and it's like I am a pace car during a yellow flag. My best guess is the average speed on the highway is around 85. Phoenix has the most reckless highway drivers I have ever experienced. At least in LA most of the crazy drivers are in nice cars but I get passed by someone in a Sentra or Civic doing 100+.

My go to is pretty much 10 mph over the speed limit. Seems to b the acceptable # for most “street moderators” 👮🏻‍♂️ haha

So on Tuesday at PT I took a test to determine my mobility, which is used to determine what the insurance company is likely to approve in terms of components for the final prosthesis.  You are ranked between a Level 1 or Level 4.  I ended up a high Level 3, so basically I can get any components I need, provide my insurance company doesn’t eff me.  A Level 4 is basically Paralympic athletes, which I have no delusions of being.

 

On Wednesday I met with my doctor and got the good news I was hoping for.  The process to begin my final prosthesis has begun.  The paperwork will be submitted this week and if everything goes well my final leg should be ready in 4-6 weeks.  Hopefully this timeline doesn’t get delayed.  I’m finally seeing a finish line and I’m excited!

... I heard it was a tribute to the original and maybe it is in spirit. But the original had relatively plausible "chase" scenes like the T Rex attacking the SUV's then chasing the jeep. Lots of tension and well done imo. Rebirth has dinosaurs constantly chasing the characters and of course not catching them. Once is a little implausible but all movie long it is just silly and actually gets a little boring.

... Other than this week and especially yesterday, I really have no reason to complain. Last year we had a record 71 days at 110 or higher and June only had one day below the 110 mark. This year we have had 13 days at 110 or higher and it looks pretty good for the next 10 days. Locals know the difference between 104 and 108 is barely noticeable but somehow 108 to 112 is a huge jump. Anything under 110 isn't bad at all.

Bailey got around the bases so fast, no slide needed, and that's with the late jump!  He was so fast I totally forgot he's the Catcher.  First Catcher in 99 years to have an inside the park homer!

 

Of course paybacks are a b*t*c*, Phillies clobbered Verlander.  Speaking of Verlander, crazy side take.  As we all know, Verlander is married to the Goddess Kare Upton.  Kate Upton is in an Antebellum music video - Bartender.  When this song was out, I never heard it, don't follow the group, not my thing...but more than one friend texts me the video link and says look, your doppelganger is in a Kate Upton video!  Check out the bartender in the video!  I am like "huh, what? this nonsense again?"  You know, people say this person looks just like you and you peek and roll your eyes because it is not even close.  So here we go again, I take a peek.  And I had to admit, that bartender looks really close, not twin close, but pretty close.  And I am not tatted up; not that there's anything wrong with that.

 

Next Giants game I go to, I am going to track down Kate.

A couple games earlier, Devers hits a pop up to short right and basically jogs to 1st. Super windy (typical SF summer night) and the ball drops. There he is standing on first when he  shoulda no doubt been on 2nd.
They paid an awful lot for a DH!

I just don't know about that guy....I don't even think he has a HR yet in SF.

 

But everything is bonus this season, I fully expected them just a touch above Colorado.  I have no illusion they will make playoffs.

IMO It was a red flag that in Boston they wanted him to play 1st, and he flat out told the manager no.
