... Two players I just can't seem to get right are Aberg and Fleetwood. Pick'em and they do poorly. Don't pick'em and they do well. Since nobody is picking Aberg and I need to make up some points while many will take Fleetwood, I'm going with Aberg to disappoint me next week.

... At the top of the list of many things I just don't understand is ... musicals. I can't listen to show tunes, I despise over acting and dancing for the sake of dancing is OK but baseball players twirling bats while linking arms and dancing while singing bad show tuns is just torture. How anyone can enjoy them is a bigger mystery than where is Jimmy Hoffa. They all look and sound like this to me:

Years and years ago there was a good push of water during the winter run so I drove over to check it out.  It was cold, it was all nymphing, it was throwing lead with an indicator (re. bobber for the pompous fly fisher), and I was miserable.  A 7 weight in the cold just flipping and mending, that's a No from me.  My buddy did catch a stocker, and we ran into a couple of other friends who were camping on the river and they were doing well until the day we got there.

 

Reminded me of the phrase, "The fishing was so good I thought I was there yesterday."

 

EDIT: There was some good to it.  We stopped at a diner in Orofino and while it looked like we should have been hearing banjo music, there was none.

... One of my best friends back in Chicago invited me to The Jackie Robinson Story. As a member of the cast in a small theater holding about 150 he said I was laughing too loudly at inappropriate moments. I warned him before I went that I hated musicals and he said this one would change my mind. 🙄 I laughed because in several numbers I just isolated on him instead of watching the whole choreography and it was very funny. He basically forced me to go to West Side story where he played Officer Krupky but with a crowd of around 500 in the middle of a Wednesday afternoon (what's wrong with people?) my laughter wasn't quite as obvious. Thankfully he never asked me to attend another.

Oh I heard about it from friends in the burbs, sounds awesome. 
 

It’s funny I grew up in Westchester burbs and there were just a handful of fine restaurants, now the whole county is crazy foodie. 
 

But it seems like the whole country is like that these days.

... I wish that were true! New homes were reasonable in Laveen when prices were out of control 4 years ago. I just think 1800sq foot ranch with a small yard of rocks is a tough sell at 1/2 million dollars and up. Folks wonder why these last few generations can't afford a house. But I am 4.2 miles from my home course and there is a Sprouts half that distance. The down side is we have virtually ZERO restaurants. Plenty of fast food of course and chains but in order to eat at a nice meal I have to drive at least 40 minutes up to Scottsdale. You'd think someone would recognize the vacancy as I have to believe a real restaurant here would be packed but then again Jack In The Box and especially In and Out Burger always have lines 10-20 cars deep. 😱

When driving my regular route, I see lines in the drive thru of McDonalds, Burger King & In-N-Out on the regular. Crazy to me as apparently it’s not exactly inexpensive anymore. And it’s obvi 💩 (At least In-N-out isn’t as bad as the others). 

My son was visiting a while back and got some fries 🍟 at McDonald’s. He offered me one and it had been while. Wow, there was more salt on that one fry than I eat in a week!!

For course 1 my younger son ordered the octopus. I was hoping for a taste, so I ordered Bocuse’s classic truffle soup. 
 

The octopus was served to a wrestler who isn’t cutting weight. Gone in 60 seconds! He said it was good. 😁
