... Yup, that's fast. My GV60 does 4.9 and the Performance GV60 does 3.7. I think 4.9 is just stoopid fast and plenty for me especially since the torque is instantaneous.

Now when it comes to driving an hour on the Interstate to make a tee time at an out of town golf course my vote goes to Clayton's Lexus as the best vehicle for that job. Love my old buddy's big pearl white SUV.

All due respect LP but man ... them wheels ain't helping. Lexus has always been trash with the single exception of the LFA. Also ugly as all hell but a tremendous performance ride. 

 

I can't imagine why anyone would spend actual money on a thing like that though.

And if we're on about cars, took the Cayman out for a "spritited" drive. Living on the absolute edge of town; just doing a quick burn through the desert up 95 makes all the feels. Better with some Kyuss.

There's a large wedding here today and the wedding party has 20 bridesmaids and 20 groomsmen !!  I just parked the car that the couple will ride off in tonight. I had to take a closer look. 1967 Mustang convertible. It's a stunning old car.

Been quietly looking for a Cayman, man they are thin on the ground preowned. Maybe better to look in winter, not sure, or if there just aren’t that many out there. Or maybe they are costlier than I think ha ha. I need a PDK….I can drive a manual but it’s uncomfortable juggling it with my L arm permanently bent.

The Hill, 3rd St NE & E. Capitol, second half of 1996.

 

When I lived in NJ I was in Ashburn VA about 1 week each month, stone’s throw from 1757 Golf Club….which I never played, golf was not on the offering when I was down there. 
 

EDIT:  If I’m going to claim DC having been there for such a short time, I reckon I can also list full summers:

Honolulu HI

 

…when my pop was working there and I went for the whole summer.

Spent a good bit of time around Greensboro circa 2000. Love that area. 
 

I am a UGA anti-fan….but I concede, Athens is great. 
 

I have a really good friend in Columbus, GA and have played a lot of golf with him at CCC and Green Island when he changed clubs. Both are superb, and Columbus is really cool too after some revitalization efforts in the early ‘00s. 
 

My office is in Blue Bell now, so I’m over there about once a quarter.

Oh man, yes, both. Great spots. Haven’t thought about those places for a while!

 

I walked to work and saw Justice Thomas just about every morning. We were on the same schedule, I walked by the secured parking garage entrance he was driving into. He got to recognizing me, and I (of course) him. He drove a black on black Vette with Virginia plates.

Filomena was so good and such a popular restaurant.

No I lived in Fairfax,VA and commuted to G Town. I was on the opening team of Sequoia at the Washington Harbor on the bank of the Potomac river just down from the Kennedy Center. I was there 6 years and then moved to Sin City.

Very cool. 👍🏼 You were part of a group of trail blazers in the 1990s then. DC’s food scene took a huge leap forward in those years and never stopped.

We were at a restaurant and it was slow because we were there between the lunch and dinner hours so the parking lot was empty, but still that's no excuse for my 80 year old friend Clayton to park like that.

Where is the signage on the back that says "JUST MARRIED!"?  And where are the cans on a string tied to the bumper? This is back when they actually HAD chrome bumpers.
