Rich people problems!  Brand new Ferrari Roma worth $243,000 plunges down an elevator shaft at a dealership in Florida. Fire crews take four hours to winch wrecked supercar out.

The Palm Beach County Fire Rescue responded to a call on January 31 at Ferrari of Palm Beach. When they arrived, they found not a fire but a six-figure Ferrari dangling over the edge of an elevator shaft. The car fell rear-first and ruptured its fuel lines on the way down, draining its tank onto what appears to be an elevator car below.

Cold.  Right now it’s 11*.  I’d complain but we had a heating pipe develop a big leak so we have spent the last 3 hours cleaning water out of the basement.  Any place that might have a saddle clamp was closed by the time I discovered the leak.  Unfortunately with the cold temps we can’t/don’t want to keep the heat off all night, so I’m guessing more water clean up tomorrow.

I’m making a citizens call on this!  Person must be located in the frigid location to earn the “Cold as a witches t** award”!  At 5 AM it will be 6*.  I really need to consider relocation to warmer climate!

When I posted the map last night I was hoping the Bears fan would tell us how frigid it was outside.

I remember as a small kid how fascinated I was with the 747's sheer size and the fact that it had an upstairs level.

The Big Fish recently went though this and now it is my turn. My sister got the yucky C early last week and brought it home and our 95 year old mother ( who lives with her) got it from her. Little sis had to take her to the hospital Friday as mom got real sick. This will prove to be too much to take for my mom that already struggles with Parkinson's and dementia, so she has only days to live. I would go down and be with the two of them but my mother hasn't remembered who I was for over a year, and Miami is experiencing a great many new covid cases. I don't want to go down and get sick myself and be stuck there for days feeling like crud. I have been talking with my sister every two hours. I took the weekend off from work because I didn't want to go on stage and try to be fake cheery when I am feeling such grief. 

 

The strong winds are gone here in western NC and the sun is out in full force. The high temp will hit 47* today and 56* tomorrow so that means I will be able to get a little practice in. Even warmer weather returns for the start of next week and I have tee time's set for Monday and Tuesday. 

 

The loss of a parent is very painful. My mother's current quality of life was not good. Madelin lived a long a wonderful life. She would have turned 96 in two weeks.

I would have been really depressed if I bothered to look at the effects the 15-20 mph winds had on our temps.  Either way it’s to cold, and call me a wimp but I’m not spending time outside.

 

Funny thing it will probably be warmer in the hockey rink I will be in this afternoon.
