I'm about done posting anything to anything on WRX outside of my skate videos and "Current/College Music" threads. But lots coming out here recently.

The connection between skateboarding and golf is a strange one. Yet, to those that have committed themselves to both endeavors, it is impossible to ignore the similarities.

I can’t help but to think how easy it is to break a wrist skating and how that impacts the golf swing! Haha

My opinion has always been that if you aren't getting hurt skating, you just aren't trying hard enough. The older I've become, the less quickly I heal and the more golf I miss. 

 

So, I don't push myself the way that I did when I was in my 20's, that's for sure.

Yes. This tends to be a major complaint among female skaters. At the skatepark I helped develop, we had to have a meeting to beg folks to leave the ladies alone. It has gotten better since then. 

 

It may be surprising to many, but skaters don't pull chicks like other athletes - there just isn't enough money in the sport.
