Should I’ve mad about this? Didn’t realize I was fit into 2 year old model

I did a fitting yesterday at Club Champion and was matched with Titleist T300 irons .  I didn’t realize until today when I was reading over the specs that it appears we were using the 2021 heads and not the 2023.  The fitter never told me this.  I’m not sure why we didn’t try the 2023 model or for that matter the 2022 model.  I’m paying a ton of money and I would like a new product.  
 

Would getting the 2023 heads be an issue or would I need fit again?

Interesting question! We’re the 23 heads available and he found your best match was the 21? Or were they not even available? 

 

You can aways take your specs and go find them on the second hand and save a bundle. Otherwise, call them and tell them you’re disappointed with your fitting because they fitted you to old equipment, and maybe they’ll invite you back for a short compare session. 
 

In my experience, getting fitted was more about the shaft than the head, and I’ve taken fitting specs over to new irons and have been pretty happy. 
 

Then again, it’s CC, so not a big surprise they may have tried to pick your pocket…

Titleist is a two year cycle. Drivers, woods and hybrids in even years and irons and wedges in odd. Last iron release was fall of 21. Expect the next to be fall of 23.

I was just assuming it was the newest model that we were using, we didn’t compare 2 different years of the same model

It says online that the 2023 version is available.

This is the current model of T300 (it is the second model of the iron) -

This was released in 2021.  As the previous poster mentioned, they are on a two year cycle, and the next one is this fall.  Is this the model you were fit for?

 

Where are you seeing a new for 2023 model?  I think there would be a ton of people would be interested in the new Titleists.

There is no 2023 t300 yet, it'll be later in the year

If the have the weighted M in the cavity, they are the most recent, and a great set of irons.
