HZRDUS Hulk 60 6.5 vs 70 6.0

Hope this is the right forum as the shafts forum looks dead. Would a 70 6.0 feel slightly softer than a 60 6.5 in the Hulk? Gamed the 60 for a couple seasons and got along pretty good for the most part, just always felt like it was too light and hard to get some kick. Love the dispersion but want a little more feel and ball speed. I know the 70 in 6.0 has lower torque but would the weight and flex make it feel a little softer during swing? Would love to hear from someone who has hit both. SS is 110-113 and tall player with a moderate transition.

Pretty sure the Hulk is only the 60g 6.5TX model, as it's a completely different profile than the other Smoke Green models.

 

That said, I had the same experience with this shaft.  Zero feel, zero kick at 120mph - straight as an arrow, but I feel I lost distance.  I'd say if you went to a 70g 6.5, you'd gain more shaft flex and feel, just because of the complete profile difference.

I played the Hulk when it first came out.  The 70 in a 6.0 will feel definitely feel softer than than the 60 in a 6.5.  I'm around your speed and the 6.5 felt too boardy for me.  I ended up with the 60 in the driver and 70 in the 3w.  In the 6.0, they were still pretty stout but they both had some kick which I couldn't much generate in the 6.5.  I didn't notice much difference in the 60 vs the 70 other than the weight(both 6.0).  The 70 actually had a little slightly softer butt frequency when both shafts were measured before installation.

There is the Hzd Green in 5.5, 6.0 and 6.5, and these are retail versions, not Hulk shafts. The actual “Hulk” shaft and ONLY one is the Green 6.5TX. The retail OEM versions are a completely different profile, flex, and stiffness. The actual hulk shaft is like 20cpms stiffer than the retail 6.5. If it’s not the 6.5TX, it’s not even in the same ballpark.
