Cobra Aerojet LS

Any distance found in already long hitters with this? I feel like it’s added 10 yards onto my drive. Let me know!

I’m getting faster ball speeds for sure but more important than distance is the absolute consistency of this driver. Coming from SIM2 with Ventus blue 6x and now LS blue 6x TR - I’ve eliminated the left side and no 2-way miss.

I've been interested to try this driver. I've been playing the TSi4 (previously had the TSi3). It has brought my spin down considerably into a playable range, but it isn't forgiving at all

Using it with a Diamana Blueboard Xstiff. Same setup as my old tour burner which I used to pump around 270m carry. I do know that I went down in swingspeed after being out of the game for 10+ years and a hernia but still able to carry about 250 to 255 meters carry. swingspeed is currently in the 115mph range coming from 125 ish so it is definitely long.

My son is moving from the Stealth2+ to this driver.  Swing Speed slower but ball speed higher.  His carry with this was 318 with a 342 total.  Stealth2+ carry was 322 with a 340 total.

I have AJ LS 9 Ventus Blue TR 6x and I did gain some distance and better balls speeds from my SIM2 but it hasn't been as forgiving for me.

I have the 50th Anniversary Edition on order in 10.5* with GD AD IZ shaft (Lite). Time to mix thing up as I haven't had a Cobra driver since the RADSPEED as I really liked it as it was the Palm Tree Edition with Fuji Speeder VII shaft. Nice but I ventured off to the big 4 brands only to still feel as if I was still missing something. My curiosity got the best of me I guess. Titleist Tsr2 seem to have plenty off potential but couldn't get dialed in to the right shaft as the Stealth 2 Plus was long but didn't care for the red face. Paradym didn't perform as well as my Rogue ST MAX D did. The PING G435 was ok but didn't give me the distance I was expecting plus I don't want to look down at the turbulators or whatever they are called. I felt they all were just as forgiving as the next when you make good contact so I have nothing bad to say about any of them it's just I know Cobra has for several years made some fine drivers that go under the radar. It's been mostly the loud colors variations that have turned me off. The Palm tree edition looked cool as I like the TM Sim/ white colored drivers,  not at first as I had to get used to the R11 but they kinda grew on me. 

 

I do like the Ryder Cup Edition of the Stealth 2 driver but they were sold out of the European edition but I would much rather see a black or grey face instead of blue. I thought about the Paradym Star but I don't care for the shape or price. Plus it's non adjustable. To me the 50th Edition of the Aerojet has the best looks out there and from what I have been hearing there is very little difference between the standard and the LS, both pretty forgiving and are long with better feel than the CNC Milled Infinity face. My other reason is I like Graphite Design shafts and the GD AD IZ 4 (Lite) was available. I know how so many people say you need 100+ mph swing speed as that is not true. Sure with a LS driver the faster you can swing the farther it will go but I need a Low Spin driver and not everyone needs a Stiff or extra stiff shaft as I have heard many mid handi cappers that don't have a high swing speed get along nicely with this model. I hear a lot about Low Spin drivers as many have found plenty of success with them and they don't swing like Bryson De Showboat. 

 

So between the Standard AJ and the LS I liked the moveable weight as they both can be fine tuned to a draw position so getting the LS was really an easy choice. I also like the aerodynamic shape with the LS

These drivers are on sale for $299. Curious if anyone is playing the 7.5 turned down to 6*? Currently playing a Ping G430 LST (9 turned to 7.5) and have PLENTY of height on my drives. Thinking the Cobra at 6 with the same shaft might flatten out my drives and give me more overall distance.

It likely will lower flight at that loft a small amount.  It will also likely be extremely unforgiving in comparison
 

if a ping lst at 7.5 is launching too high, it’s likely issues with shaft or delivery that no club head will solve.

I really wanna try the low degree version of this head but the prices on eBay are outrageous
