And yet he’s had a bunch of top 10 finishes this year and a few in a row against some of the top fields in golf. Maybe one day golfers will be judged by the scores they shoot instead of the clubs they use to do it with….

PIcked up a G425 26* hybrid and have played last 3-4 months.  Absolutely love it and is far more versatile and consistent than the 4 iron it replaced.  Highly recommend.

The 7wd has been soooo good for me, that I’m seriously going to look at a 9wd vs my 4hybrid. I’m not unhappy with my 4hybrid, but if I can hit even better shots at that distance it will go in the bag.

Looks like someone got offended to my reply and comment on equipment. It works both ways….. I’m a big fan of David’s and have been since he played at Arkansas. No need to check with me or anyone else when you post, but don’t be a surprised or upset when someone responds to you with an opposing view.

With that being said I'm also interested to see what life would be like if I ditch my hybrid and 4i and go 7w 9w. Already hit the ball high so maybe it's a bad idea but it sounds fun

I have a 50TX and my speed is the 140s creeping to 150. For me it’s more of a don’t go left shaft. I hate anything that goes left as I aim to play a fade. Maybe I shouldn’t play tx but I have a 60tx in my 3 wood and 70tx in my 7 wood. Money shafts. Got my first witnessed hole in one with that 7 wood.  Now looking for tensei white am2 shafts for my irons!

Same situation in regards to my mom, lol.  He barely makes low 160's ball speed though so it's completely understandable.  He's playing to his strengths.  What I really want is that 1K Pro Blue to be released!!!

Not really.  The OG CK Pro Blue is on the softer side and easy to load IMO.  I'd imagine the 1K Pro Blue to follow the lines of it's predecessor with an upgrade in the materials department.

The 430 6i was in for testing?

What wood/hybrid set does he end up playing?

 

Does he drop the 5i (26*) in favour of the 5-hybrid (also 26*), or keep them both because they go different distances?

I've half thought about trying to talk to Ping to see if they'll PLD me a side saddle, but I just can't commit to the cost of them vs the Bobby Grace options.

Would they do that for us average joes?  I'd imagine that something like that would be north of the 1k mark.  😳

My understanding of it from a very high level is they'll make you a totally custom putter, but it  would be expensive lol.

Nice finish today too!  Love the look of the putter.  That head should make it to retail!

 

Question: to my eye, it appears that the i230s are ground on the bottom.  I've heard pros, like Hovland, typically grind those thicker soles down to make them play thinner and more similar to other players' irons.  Can anyone confirm on his?
