The area is now filled with California plates because it's 'cheap' compared to the over regulation and tax that they signed themselves up for in Cali.

Yeah I'm not going to argue against the Bay Area's weather.  I love that climate.  It's pretty hard to beat.  It's a big part of why real estate prices are so high there.  People want to be there.  

 

When it's 112* in Scottsdale what am I doing?  I'm playing a ton of golf.  It's not 112* at 6:30 am when I tee off in Scottsdale.  It's still hot, yes, but it's not actually too bad if you tee off early AM.  I'd far prefer playing early AM in the peak of summer of summer in phoenix than playing in the AM on the east coast or south with humidity. 

 

Many brave the 112* and tee off in the afternoon because it's insanely cheap and you can play super-fast. It's not something I do all that often because it is brutally hot but a s*** load of water and a sun hat is all you need.  

 

110* is my cutoff - and I'll play afternoons occasionally as well (well, really 10am-ish tee times).  Its pretty open and you can play nice and fast.  Just keep drinking water!

I'm in Arcadia 

 

Tee time wise, on weekends in the summer I typically tee off before 8am.  I don't even really consider tee times after 8 unless I'm really dying to play.  I'm also a morning person so I much prefer getting golf out of the way early.  

 

In the summer I'll typically play 5 or so total times after work on a random week night.  Teeing off at like 3pm means it's going to be stupid hot.  I just pre-hydrate as much as I can before teeing off.  As long as I enter the round well hydrated, I end up not at all minding it. If I'm starting off the round normally hydrated, it means I'm not going to be able to keep up while I'm playing.
