Lamkin Deep Etched Pistol Cord

Can we make some noise to get this grip released? It’s so strange how much it popped up on tour pictures but hasn’t come out. 
 

can’t even find them overpriced on eBay. 
 

the commonly found paddle version is just a bit too thick. 
 

a skinnier, corded pistol grip is hard to find. Pp58 cord gets slick too fast. Lamkin’s deep etched material and pattern and cord feel great… just wish the shape was a little smaller.

Yep. And others. It would be very popular…

 

the deep V lamkin grip feels nice but the color/graphics are off putting and the surface isn’t as nice as the deep etched cord.

are there any decently textured actual "pistol" grips out there? As was mentioned the Ping version gets slick fast. All of the Scotty's are $40+...why is this so hard?

That’s the standard paddle version that is widely available. I use it now but wish it was skinnier. Hence the pistol version.

I just bought an old Royal cord pistol grip to tide me over.

Golf Pride Pro Only Red Star corded is a great option for textured pistol grip. And sugarloaf social club make a pistol cord putter grip. Not sure how textured that one is, though.

I do have the pro only red star cord. Might be the only one that comes close on the market. 
 

but I wish it were a little rougher/more cord or rubber-ier. The lamkin deep etched paddle cord definitely has better tactile feedback for me.

Good call on sugarloaf. Forgot about them. Will try theirs out.

I emailed Lamkin last year about this grip and I was told that it would be a 2023 release but I haven't seen anything yet.

I missed that the red star was a pistol grip. Any chance if you know if the non-chord version is the slick ping-like rubber?

 

I also just found that Lamkin makes a sinkfit skinny pistol grip. Could be interesting and grippy!

The regular rubber version is indeed the slick Ping-like rubber. Within a few months it loses its initial tackiness, just like a Pingman.

 

The Lamkin Sinkfit Pistol is a really interesting material. It's kind of like a bike tire tread. Very grippy in my hands, and in fact maybe too grippy for my tastes. It could be worth a shot. One weird thing I experienced with it is that it was impossible to blow on with an air compressor - the grip just bubbled up and wouldn't budge.

 

I'm all in on the Golf Pride Red Star Cord. It's kind of cottony cord, like the Golf Pride Tour Velvet Cord swing grips, but a little harsher. I love the texture, especially after you wear it in a bit.

Maybe take a look at Odyssey’s White Hot Pro grip ($10 and exclusive to golfgalaxy afaik). 68grams. Really nice tacky rubber that isn’t too firm. Not actually corded, but the etching makes it very grippy. Pretty similar to the deep-V profile, but a slightly less pronounced “V”. It’s like a middle ground between the deep-v and the deep-etched.

Picked up these old Royal grips on eBay. 
 

Gotta say they’re quite perfectly fitting the bill. Front surface is flat and angular edges, great rough cord, nice slim size. Why did these get discontinued!

 

and I’m curious how sugarloaf can make small batches of their cord putter grip and not have it be outsourced from a larger company that has a similar model. It doesn’t exist! Pro only red star cord is the only one that comes close. 
 

this grip weighs 65g if you ever pick one up.

Using my first Lamkin (sink fit deep etched) on a BB-1 and I'm blown away. Seeing that there may be a cord version.... might have to scoop that up.

The lamkin crossline cord pistol grip has made an appearance on the bay. Picked up a couple. 
 

but the deep etched pistol is still elusive.
