Whistler Courses?

I'm heading to Whistler with some buddies at the end of May. I have been a few times, but never golfed. What are the best course options? Probably playing 3 days, 36 once or twice.

Only my opinion...others will vary.

From an aesthetics and challenge POV.

1) Chateau Whistler (some will find some holes quirky and gimmicky)

2) Whistler GC

3) Big Sky about a 30+ min drive north of Whistler.

4) Nicklaus North.

 

On the way up from Vanc....I like Squamish GC....more value oriented vs the above courses...a classic & walkable parkland style course.

 

Some also don't like Furry Creek on the way up....just before Squamish....a very quirky course...but has some really good views.

I don't mind it...most don't.

I'd maybe only play if you got a deal...like playing a twilight round???

+1 for Squamish, spend the savings on beer. 

 

+1 for Whistler unless you can get Chateau or Nicklaus North on a screaming deal.

Honestly all of the courses are great in Whistler. I personally think Nicklaus North is very overrated but still nice. I am not a fan of houses on a golf course. Chateau has some pretty wild holes but the first 6 I believe are basically straight up the mountain side so they are definitely a grind. Whistler GC has a really laid back vibe and is always on the itinerary when I head up to Whistler. Big sky is a solid course with some cool mountain views. Furry creek on the way up to Whistler is a pretty tricked up course but it’s got some great views and a couple cool holes. If I were ranking the courses for a first time Whistler golf trip I’d probably go: 

1. Chateau

2.Whistler GC

3. Big Sky

4. Nicklaus North

Which happens to be the exact same as @Treats

You really can’t go wrong with the courses you choose up there.
