Cobra King Tec hybrids

Anyone out there have any experience with these? 3 changeable weights plus being able to adjust loft has got me intrigued. 

 

Looking to replace a 4i, will keep my driving iron/3i, thinking 4H will probably carry 3i length but not roll out like 3i.

Have had one for about 2 years now. Love it! By far the best hybrid I've ever had. FWIW I changed the weights/hosel to my preferred settings when I first got it, and haven't touched them since.

 

That being said... It's larger than most hybrids from other OEM's and it has more of a round shape than a square/rectangle one. I'd say it's sort of a cross between a traditional hybrid and a fairway wood.

Never owned a hybrid, hit a few buddy's ones over the last couple years, always to the left.  May try one, cheaper option than finding a ltdx 7w and then replacing the senior or regular shafts that always seem to be in them.

I have a 2023 King Tec 4H with stock MMT and now have a few rounds under my belt with it.

 

So far, it's performed very well. Easy to hit, with a high, flattish flight. I'm liking it. The MMT is a very nice shaft (this is my first experience with it). It loads nicely but has a semi-stout feel and isn't noodly. 

 

In terms of a critique, if I'm being honest, the King Tec is not the best feeling hybrid. It feels quite hard off the face. The TSR hybrids look and feel substantially better in my opinion. Also it seems to hate shots low on the face. I know all clubs do to an extent, however I was surprised at how much distance I lost on a few shots which I low grooved.

Well, I just snagged a new 4hy with mmt 80 shaft for a great price. I'll know next week. Probably use it for the first time in a 2 man BB tournament next weekend. Seems logical 😆

Showed up at lunch, which meant I had to go play 9 holes. Only hit it twice.  Take my son to the driving range tomorrow and get familiar with it. 

 

I like that it's an all matte carbon top, looks almost like my ltdx ls 5w.

I tested the 2021 model for WRX and it is a winner IMO. Current version looks extremely similar, just fractionally smaller and better looking with the all black. Hot off the face and muted feel. If you put the light weight in the heel spot, it is very anti-left like the TSi3, but with the bigger than average size I found it more forgiving than TSi3. I swap my 17* 2h with my RadSpeed tour 5w depending on wind; the 5w flies higher for par 5 approach shots, but tends to balloon a bit into a breeze. The King tec, at least for me with a Tensei white 90x shaft, flies lower and rolls a lot more. My TSi2 18* just collects dust in the garage.

Finally got familiar with this thing and it's doing exactly what I wanted it for. Nice soft landings on approaches from 225 or so out.  Rolls out to about 240 on firm fairways, set up for a slight cut.  Enjoying this hybrid
