Ventus shaft scratched. Should I be concerned

Long story short my playing partner was holding my driver ( decided to hit 3 wood off the tee) and it fell out of his hands onto the cart path and scratched up the shaft. Do I have cause for concern with the scratch damage or is it just cosmetic. Thanks for any feedback.

To me that looks like just paint damage and the graphite should be fine. I had deeper damage from bag chatter on an AD DI and it was fine for a couple years and my dad still plays it. That sucks but I wouldn't worry about it too much

Ok thank you that’s what I was thinking but rather get some more insight from more knowledgeable people then make assumptions. You can kind of feel the scratches with my fingertip and nails. Worst part is it’s brand new

Damn looks like he threw it down not dropped it. Those are nice deep scratches but still not deep enough for an issue. I'd be mad tho.

Hard lesson learned.  Don't let other people touch your clubs.  To the OP, my condolences but I think your Ventus will be fine from a performance standpoint going forward.

Those are some deep scratches. 
I think it will be fine, but there has been some threads on here that those TR shafts have been pretty fragile.

Mostly cosmetic.  I would still play that shaft if it were mine.

Did he drop it out of a moving cart?

 

Agree with the others that they're cosmetic, but could cause issues if you ever need to warranty claim the shaft.

Thank you all for the reassurance. He dropped it on the cart path where you step up to the grass so concrete pavers is where that scratched part landed I watched it happen, very unintentional by him but clumsy and felt very bad for the accident. Thank god I had the head cover on or the head would have been scratched as well from the path.
