Split grip for broomstick putter

Who else besides Winn offers a 2 piece split grip for a broomstick putter? Not a fan of the soft Winn feel.

The "Langer" method works. That is, cut up two GP Tour Velvets. 🙂

Yup, of course that is the likely solution, wanted to be sure I don’t miss any other options.

Super Stoke does.  Tacki Mac does, too.  
 

My favorite, though is the split grip tha LAB uses, and they do sell those separately, I believe.

This is the one, in my opinion. I have tried most of them, and the LAB grip is the best feeling/looking one to me.

Agree with the posts above. Feel like the L.A.B split grip got the width right. Not as fluffy/big as the Winn but also not too small for the right (lower) hand.

@TonyRo is the Lab golf white split grip a larger diameter than the usual Winn split grip?

 

My new Bell V broomstick seems great - but the grips seem a bit skinny, particularly for the left hand…. The Bell has the usual black/gray Winn spiral that I also saw on a DF2.1 broomstick at Pga superstore today.

I have been fighting the urge to use the jumbo max 21" round grip on my LAB broomstick putters. However, I agree the LAB grip feels firmer, but the Winn is thicker and softer. If I could find anything that is as big as the Winn and firm like the LAB it would be perfect.

Don't hold me to this, as I have never measured them, and it will be dependent on shaft thicknesses between putters, but the LAB grip has always felt skinnier to me than the Winn grip I have on my PING Nome 500. The LAB grip is more firm and the Winn has some cushion to it for sure.

Thanks for that - i’m also not a fan of the spongy winn style,  but since all the plastic grip materials end up rotting anyway i’ve previosuly stripped off the outer layer and replaced with leather strapping on other putters.

 

I’ll build up extra layers of hockey tape before the lather and that’ll work a treat and be firm… the Bell V broomstick is looking to be an excellent intro to broomsticking at a far cheaper price to try … and the DF3 broom won’t be out for ages it’s looking like.

I just ordered a DF3 with the jumbo max long grip. Can’t wait to add it to the rotation.

Went split grip for my DF3 broom. Love the white and black color combo, I’ve got white shaft and black head paired up with the lab split. After testing it out on the stock models it seems like a really solid option. The company that makes it is on the butt cap starts with a K

Based on the rules, do we feel the grip orientation on this Bobby grace putter is legal?  Generally they have to be separated by 1.5” or more but not if the taper is the same (picture D from the rules)

Do we feel it would be legal to use two separate super stroke 2.0 or 3.0 grips? My only concern is whether or not they are truly considered circular. Other than that, I feel like there wouldn’t be an issue but not 100% sure.
