OP: what’s your swing speed & tempo?

I am not sure now.

Before, my swing speed was around 105mph + or -.  I am sure my swing speed is lower now since it's been 5 or 6 years since I consistently played.  As for my tempo, I am  trying to play slow tempo.  Last thing I want is to throw my back out again.  I can tell you my swing is definitely not aggressive as before.

If you haven't played for 5-6 yrs then shaft tech is the least of your concerns.

I am looking to play my current irons I have. I have Onoff Forged 2011 in great condition which I really love and Vega VM-02 blades (definitely can't play these now).  Also have brand new Vega VC-01 heads never used.  So in terms of irons, I am pretty set.  Yes they are old clubs but Onoff and Vega are really great clubs and I take care of my irons. Even when rounding I keep covers on to prevent dents. Both irons have NS Modus 120.  As for Drivers, I have Titleist 915 and 913.  Just got TS2 so was looking for new shafts for it.  It came with Tensei White AV series but since that is a stock oem shaft, I am looking for a new shaft.

I feel like the blue profiles are all smooth

That's why I was looking into DF.  Supposedly it's white and blue board combo.  Seems like lots of people are recommending Diamana.  Just that I don't want to spend $300+ on a new shaft.  Seems like I can get a pretty good deal on new DF.  Less than $150.

The Aldila NXT Gen NV (green) shafts have a very nice feel to them and they are pretty cheap at 50 bucks. Very underrated IMO.

They are marketed as a low/mid flight shaft, but I'd say mid flight would be more accurate in my experience with them.

I’d agree with this. Went through 8 or so shafts last year looking for active feel, spin reduction, and penetrating flight. Eventually left the stiff shaft realm because I couldn’t load them consistently and bought some heavier regular flex shafts with low torque. Having most success with a NV 75 R green ($39) and a Grafalloy Prolaunch Red in Regular flex ($60). Pretty sure any regular flex whiteboard profile will give similar feel.

Update on the diamana zf. The is a great shaft. Super smooth. Didnt notice the kick as much as I did on the range. I have a medium tempo. Very flat swing. Around 100mph. Doesnt give off a loose feeling at all, likewise for something that's overly stiff.

Would recommend trying 100%

Bridgestone Tour-B X-CB 5-PW Project X LZ 6.0

Cobra MiM Black 50°v, 56°v, 60°wl Kbs Hi-REV 2.0 125 stiff

For now, not much.  Trying to stay around $150 to $200 for a shaft.  Since it's been while since I consistently played, not sure how my swing will stabilize to not to mention I am 5 or 6 years older now 😅😅😅.  Wouldn't be surprised if get another shaft or 2 to try later once I stabilize my game.

Thanks for all inputs. For now, I decided to try Diamana DF and TB.  Seems like both had good general review in terms of being very smooth shaft.    I think some of the Fujikura may feel bit stiffer compared to Diamana's based on some reviews.   Wish Fujikura would make something very similar to Rombax Z series with new technology and all 😅😅😅

I received Diamana TB 60S and had a chance to hit some balls at the range today.   It was great recommendation by some.  Its very smooth shaft.  Exactly what I was looking for.  Next is to try out DF.  Just waiting for my Srixon Driver to come which I am looking to install the DF on.

They’re both really good. Mitsubishi doesn’t make a bad shaft — quality control is great since they also are the supplier of the raw materials (for their own products and other shaft companies.)

DF was one I liked in a fairway. I’ve tried other shafts for a round here and there but the 60S TB is hard to beat for being stable, smooth and long. I play it at 45.25 in my Paradym driver. Taking it down a half-inch from stock made it a very comfortable length for me.

Glad to hear it's working for you guys.  I experimented with the 60TX and it was an epic fail.  May have been better if I went with 70TX.  I think it has to do my aggressive transition.  Loved how smooth it was though.  Currently gaming the GT 70TX and it's smooth but more stable than the TB.  As I type this, I'm waiting on a Ventus TR Black to mess around with, lol.

I also ordered UST LIN-Q purple 😅😅😅.  Saw some good reviews.  I personally like trying out different shafts.  I always had good feel with UST.

As matter fact, I found Element Earth 6F5 (Tour Issue) in my garage that I bought while ago but didn't use.  I tried that shaft at the range also. Not as smooth as the TB being x-stiff but still somewhat smooth.  Also hit very well. It was slightly more forgiving than TB probably due to stiffer shaft. TB, I really like the overall smoothness and profile.   Ball also launched bit higher than the Earth.

One question I have is, do old/often used shaft have deterioration in the structure?  Not sure if it's because I played Attas MK (same as Element Earth but it was prototype) shaft a lot along with Chrome or it's just that they are old and been sitting in my garage for several years but it doesn't play like it use to.  It still smooth but feels loose and not as stable or tight as before.  I tend to fade/slice more with it. I could have sworn when first got the MK, the shaft was smooth, tight and very stable. Below is a post I wrote 10 years ago about UST MK Shaft.  I could still remember how the shaft felt when I first got it. I guess that means I had that shaft for like 10 years.

I am sure some of the fade/slicing has lot to do with my swing but in general, Element Earth and TB was less in fade/slice and Chrome and MK more.

Your swing from 10 years is probably different than your swing now hence the different feel.  Not sure if a graphite shaft would deteriorate signifcantly over 10 years time when it's been left alone but I'm sure @Valtiel, @Stuart_Gand @Howard_Jonescould chime in.
