Help me buy a used 5W or 7W .......160-180 club that I can hit off fairway or light rough

Neither am I!! I'm almost there!! I'm 56.  3 years ago I bought the Sim2 Max with KBS Max 85 in S flex... I think that may have been a mistake.  My 7i (on a good strike) carries 150-155.  8i....140-144.  I'm now considering getting new irons with R flex.  I need to figure out what my SS on the 7i is 🤦‍♂️

45 is right around the corner, so it'll be there for me in the blink of an eye.  I take my pedestrian, by WRX standards, ~170 7i carry distance for granted while I implore my 60 year old playing partner to move up a tee box.

a low profile fw would be easier to hit  the paradym and rggue max d are great but pricey. the ping 400 5 wood are reasonable and very forgiving.

Old hacker here.  Carry my 7 iron 145-150.   Have used hybrids predominantly instead of fairways woods until this season, but became inconsistent with them.  Picked up a used Ping g425 7 wood---it's been a revelation.  Long and straight, much more consistent than the hybrids.  Have had a couple shots that carried around 195-198 and got me over 200 total yards.  And a 9 wood provided me a spectacular par 3 tee shot at the Country Club in Brookline, MA (charity tournament).

Get a Callaway Super Hybrid 17* with the Tensei Orange shaft. The original one. Ditched my fairway woods for it. It’s the real deal.

PIng G25 5-wood and 7-wood are still in my bag.

I would try Wilson Staff. I bought a D-7 5 wood used a few months ago and it is incredible. Lightweight, easy launching, and available in a 21° 7 wood as well.

 

Wilson also has the Launchpad line, which is I believe designed to be a point and shoot easy launch club specifically for lower swing speeds. You might give that a look too.

Maybe look for a Ping G 7 wood, the first adjustable one. Also agree with the G25.

Im not certain what configurations were available but that is the easiest to hit line of clubs I’ve ever owned and it’s not close. I still pull out my 16* K15 3-wood and k15 4 and 5 hybrids when long irons and my fairway wood are giving me troubles..

Adams tight lies 2013 2014 or the Tight Lies Titanium 2014 is about the best you can find for launching out of anywhere

 

i have a 2013 Tight Lies 7w at 22° that is a womens….. no difference from the mens other than a polished steel face which wears better, and a matte dark gray instead of matte black. 
 

I just bought a new old stock Adams Tight Lies 14° head that on the way to go with a Tensei Orange 75g shaft that I received today. 
 

I haven’t found anything better to date than the Adams Tight Lies (2013) The most comparable would be the Ping G410-425-430 for the shallow face design

You should be able to find a Tour Edge Exotics on the bay in your price range. I would look at the Ex8 to Ex10 range or possibly a little earlier. All of those vintage Tour Edge fw's are high quality and very good performers. The higher lofted fw's did tend to come with regular flex shafts so that should work for you.

How about the original Perfect Club. I believe it was 4 or 5I length and 21* of loft with the lie angle of an iron. It was very easy to hit.

I still play the K15 3,5 and 7 woods.  I've never found anything easier to hit.
