Clubs you can't/won't replace

Want to know what clubs people have out there in their bags that have stayed in the bag for a long time because you can't hit anything better. Have a few clubs myself that have made their way back into the bag recently after testing them again and just being so consistent with what I want my ball flight and shot shape. 

 

Played with a guy yesterday that was 4 handicap and his driver was an old knock off of the Taylormade 300 series (20+ years old), but he was absolutely bombing it!! He told me he had tried every new driver out there but nothing stacks up with his gamer, asked to try my stealth 2+ on a couple holes and even though hit well, he was still 20+ yards further with his gamer. Was interesting to see the on course comparison of old vs new. 

 

Made me wonder what clubs people have out there that just can't seem to find their way out of the bag. Send your gamers, backups, or old gamers you just don't have the heart to toss out in the thread below, interested to see what's out there!

I tinker and try new stuff all the time but I can’t ever get better results than I’ve gotten for about 8 years now from my Cobra FlyZ + 3 wood and my Wilson Staff Tour FG5 hybrids. They do everything I want with no compromise and my confidence with them is sky high

Confidence is key. 3 woods always seem to be the hardest to replace once you find a good one

Bought a NOS K. Burns mallet putter vintage 1997 for $75. I try other putters, kicking around stores but none work as well. Been 7 years,

My 7 wood.  It's rare for a club to spend YEARS in my bag.  The 7 wood is a game changer.  Never touching long irons again.

Tour issue rescue 11 has been in my bag since 2011 and my Newport 2 is from 2008.  They're not being replaced anytime soon.

Still smashing the OG Cally GBB.  The 2016 model not the 2022 reboot.  This is the driver both Kisner and Matsayama played well into 2020 / 2021 as well.  Played every Callaway up through Rogue ST and nothing can bench it.  Nothing.  Paradym will get audition once on Cally preowned.

Mine is my Adams idea xtd ti super hybrid. I used to have a mental block about a club being 10 years old, this club I don't even think about it. I've spent a good amount of money seeing if I could replace it this year, and it just sticks. I have no real desire to replace it. I may try the Cleveland hy-wood, but only if I can get a good deal on one.

My Stealth2 5 Wood. Not going anywhere for a long time. If I do a full rebuild of the bag it will be based around that club.

Ping Anser 4W and Cobra F6 Baffler

 

On paper they shouldn't fit in the bag together, but they just work like peanut butter and jelly. They cover everything from 220-260 from any lie including tee shots and rescue shots off hardpan.

Ping G410 5 wood. Have it lofted down to the little minus and play it as a 4 wood. Stuck a ventus red 7x in it at the start of the season and it’s been even better this season.

 

I hit it on 7-8 holes off the tee and into a couple of par 5’s at our home course so it gets plenty of work. It will be a sad day when the face decides to cave.

Played my 915F up til a few months ago, never thought I’d replace it also. Now I have 2 915F’s on the shelf. It took a long time for me to find something I like better.

Still have a 3 hybrid in those myself. Highly underrated. Got a 3 & 5 fairway still also.

Several clubs are sentimental and not going anywhere (most from my former instructor, a Cleveland Persimmon, Ping putter, Eye 2 BeCUs).

 

For me and playing...the PM grind 60 is still in the bag.
