It's likely that Sam Burns gets in to partner Scheffler. 

Morikawa's game is probably more suited to a European course that some of the others, that will be a consideration. 

 

JT could easily still make it in even if he just plays the better ball matches and the last day. Spieth will certainly go and Rickie has a good chance, so it would give ZJ some options. 

 

Brooks will be there. 

 

Keegan and Cam Young look the least likely to go at present.

happy for rickie considering he's kinda back but him and JT don't deserve a spot on this team. The only thing they bring is eyeballs on TV which is kinda what it's all about tbh

Burns has a similar game to Cam. Long and crooked. But Burns has a much better SG. So, of those 2, I'm ok with Burns.   JT had better perform or its going to look bad. 

 

Keegan Bradley and Glover would have been my picks in lieu of JT and Burns.  Spieth I can live with.

Same and I am a Burns guy even with his terrible new hair style.  I am from LA, went to LSU and my Godchild plays on LSU's golf team, but he should not be on the team.

Anybody else not loving this captain ?  I don’t dislike Zach as a person.  But I detest side stepping questions.  And the more I think about it , the more disgusted I am that JT was picked over Glover.  JT doesn’t even think he should be there. You can read it on his face.

And...the added captain's picks were designed to ENABLE the captain to pick hot hands or guys who were playing really well thr last several months. 

 

3 of these picks fly in the face of that. 

 

Keegan Bradley should be on that team. JT and Burns should not be.

Glover got really hot for ~6 weeks. Aside from that he'd been in the abyss missing 10 cuts of his previous 16 starts. 

 

He'd be a longshot pick.

it doesnt sound like politics are aside because even if keopka has struggled the last few weeks he's had a wayyyyy better year than JT and that isn't remotely debatable. To each their own i guess but i want koepka on my team for an event like this

Rickie brings people to watch.  I know I'm a lot more likely to watch Rickie than Burns.
