Yes the Mahomes to Kelce connection is special, but in no way does it surpass the Brady and Gronk combination. How about it's just great for we true NFL fans to have experienced both of those QB and TE combos.

Thanks for the reply Dark Knight. Your statement makes sense. I was leaning towards the Under myself just because of the fine job the Chiefs defense did against the Ravens. You might have just swayed me even more towards picking the Under. If I do end up joining you I bet we will be in a small group of the 14 participants that is backing the U play. 

 

A total of 26 points is awfully low for a game that is taking place indoors.

My prediction prior to the start of the season was NY Jets over the Niners. (I wanted Jets over Baltimore as a shout out to the last NYJ Super Bowl, but that’s no longer a possibility.) As an additional prognostication, I also stated that Aa-Rod would leave the field holding up his finger Namath-style, although it would be a different finger. Substitute Kelce/Swift duo in his place.

Only because of having 2 weeks off to prepare do I feel the Chiefs have a 70% chance of winning. I would rather have San Fran win but I don't think it is happening.

Well, I guess the Chiefs beating Buffalo on the road and Baltimore on the road only earned them a 2-point underdog rating with the bookmakers?

I guess that resume is not good enough for the Vegas sharps.  The Chiefs have the best tight end and QB in the NFL right now. Their defenses are very close when it comes to talent

 KC has the better tackles and the Niners have the better ends, KC has the better cornerbacks and the Niners have better linebackers and safeties.  KC has better special teams including their kicker.  That could be huge in a close game.  

All that said I was not all that impressed with their win over the idiot coached Ravens

And the Bills defense were the walking wounded

 

I will give the 2 points as the Niners win big in this tilt 30 -21

As big of a polarizing figure as Cam Newton is I have to agree with him in principle.  With one exception.  He should have just said he's not the best player on his team. Putting a number on him is a little petty.  But I do not think Purdy is a game changer, however when you find a good all-around QB who is better than the guy he replaced who also got the Niners to the big dance, and has a chance actually to win as a game manager then sign me up.

Brock Purdy was the biggest steal in the draft.  But he's not the best player on that team

The most important player on that team is Trent Williams.  When he's healthy they win.  Second is CMC when he's healthy they win, third is Deebo when he's healthy they win, 4th is Bosa when he's healthy they win a lot and so forth.  I guess Purdy is 5th LOL

This kills me every time I see it.

 

The bookmakers are remarkably accurate at predicting what the PUBLIC thinks.

 

That's how they come up with a line; which seldom changes more than a point or so, sans no major "event" (usually an injury) in the meantime, right up to game time.

... I will push back on this juuuuuust a little. I think super stars are over-valued. Waaaaaay over-valued. But the rank and file athletes/actors are just doing what they have done throughout history. Providing valuable entertainment that takes you away from the stresses of everyday life and allows you to dream. Making a good living is enough and that's what the majority that are successful do. So that character in a movie or TV show you loved and that offensive tackle that didn't give up a sack all game deserve our admiration while they are performing and that's it. What they do away from the field/camera should be mostly irrelevant. I love Hard Knocks as it gives us an inside look at the workings of a Pro Team. But when they branch off to their personal lives, I usually fast forward. 

... Here is something that might surprise you. We read about the insane salaries or the demands of a TV star(s) that want more than the $250k they make a show. But in order to qualify for full health care SAG benefits you have to make $35,000 a year. Less than 5% of ALL Screen Actors Guild members qualify. 95% of all working actors make less than $35k a year.

Great point Chisag. Acting is seriously top heavy, and it doesn't filter down much. A lot of that is also due to nepotism, which is rampant in Hollywood.
