Presumably this bodyguard is more-trusted by Rory, vs the random DPWT event security guys e.g. some folks here might remember the issue involving a prankster, at the 2021 Abrdn Scottish Open.

Had heard that Wilco Nienaber was a long hitter.

Am not so familiar with Niklas Nørgaard 

(albeit was amused at commentator & ex-Ryder Cupper David Howell's dry humour after seeing this drive,

i.e. "I can't help feeling that i dislike him a little ... 191 ball-speed?! It's not a language/game with which i'm familiar"

Wow 191mph ball speed and the swing looks good and  under control.  Rapidly becoming one of my favorites to follow and hope he keeps this going and makes the Ryder Cup team!
 

I did not realize is that Norgaard is 32.  I assumed that he was one of the young up and comers like the Hoorgard twins.  As one of the commentators said "where has he been?"

Wilco Nienaber is struggling on the Challenge Tour. Niklas Nørgaard has been trending the last couple of years and many, including me, fancied him to get a win and he did a few weeks ago. He has a weakness with his chipping which might prevent him being a superstar.

David Ravetto of France who won about a month ago in Czech is very long and he's a really small guy compared to Nørgaard. Both Rasmus and Nicolai Hørgaard are long too.

What a superior experience, weekend TV golf from Wentworth, only to be compared with Masters and maybe US and British open. Only relevant shots by first class golfers in contention, all the time.

British dba BMW PGA Championship is ranked T32 for the calendar year in terms of overall strength of field by Data Golf.  Only PGA Tour events (most), the Olympics and the Majors are ranked higher. This is the strongest field for a stand-alone (The co-sanctioned Scottish Open is T9 to date) DP World Tour event.

 

We'll most likely see a final DP World Tour strength of schedule in the following order:

 

Scottish Open

Dunhill Links

Tour Championship

Abu Dhabi

British PGA Championship

Dubai Desert Classic

Irish Open

 

Note: sizable drop-off after the Irish Open

I thought Norgaard was a young early 20's pro too and was surprised when I found out a few weeks ago he is a bit older.

I love watching events on this course. Remembering the times before the re-design, it would still be a great matchplay venue, and I would love to see a Ryder Cup there. It would also be a great advantage for Europe. I bet the US would still be boneheaded enough to not select Billy Horschel, if he did not qualify on points. 😁
