Cool looking course down in Australia.  Shame that the South African and Australian "big" events have to go up against each other.

Excited about Min Woo's game.  Serious speed.

It was a good win for min woo, did it well.

Royal Queensland is nice and I was lucky enough to play there a few weeks ago but I still prefer the previous venue for the event at Royal Pines.

Great playoff between Niemann and Hoshino.

3 birdies and an eagle between them.

It was fun but that playoff hole wasn't a proper par 5, Niemann only had a 142 metre PW in for his 2nd on the winning hole and hit it to inside 10 feet.

For me it was 3 pars and a birdie - just as good.

Niemann's 2nd shot into the 18th during regulation play was pretty crazy.

He had to walk through the spectator tent to see the green since his drive was severely offline.

That was such a great watch.

He is now an honorary Aussie - going into a bar to get a look at a green during play and then pulling off that shot in the Aussie Open just makes it so.

Rant- The Hero running counter to the Australian Open is a perfect example of the issues in pro golf… pga tour and the OWGR somehow green light a points and money give away that takes away from a historic tournament. The Australian Open needs to be held in higher esteem and probably get major status. It’s a sleeping giant of an event if there’s a little investment put in.
You’d think the South African Open could pick a different week too.

Agreed. The Hero is something of an exhibition. Imagine how much more interest it would have generated if half of that field had gone to the SA open and the other half to the Aussie open.

Was sorry to watch Adam Scott with a late Sunday collapse after grabbing the lead. He was draining long putts and fist pumping and that was fun until he hit it up against a fence/net and fell way back.

Herbert fell apart around the same time as Scott and Min Woo just didn’t have it today.

Neimann won with a shaky putter but kept hitting it close enough… looks like a guy that could benefit greatly from a putter switch.

Hoshino was an impressive runner up… back to back weeks too. Never watched him before but like his swing a lot and he made a couple clutch putts in the playoff.

After Min Woo couldn’t get it done I was cheering for Hoshino, I’ve enjoyed watching him the last few weeks.

Totally agree with the rant too. I watched the hero for maybe 20 mins on sat and sun whilst having my morning coffee and it was just dud boring.

One of my favorite tournaments. The layout of the course, the wildlife, the atmosphere…

And the site of my favorite golf telecast moment ever.

Director cuts to a shot of a few rhinos standing about.  All of a sudden, one begins to take a leak, which if you have never seen it, is measured in gallons.  So at first the announcers just kind of muffled a laugh.  After about 20 seconds with no signs of stopping, one of them said "must have had a few pints last night."  Another 20-30 seconds goes by, again, with no sign of the rhino stopping, and another announcer chimes in, "Well, no prostate problems there I see."  The booth just lost it, I have to think most everyone watching did the same.
