IMO both The Devil and God and Deja are simply classics. Both from track 1 til the end are just super solid.

I have the curse of loving music and hating crowds.  So no.  Doubt seriously that I ever see another that isn’t tiny and outside. Or in a bar that’s at a table.

I cant remember where I first heard about them...prob MTV2 back in the day or a band I was watching had their t shirt on or something, but Your Favorite Weapon was the first album I picked up and listened to a lot. Deja was good as well.

My last concert was Alter Bridge with Sevendust.   It was the third time seeing both bands in the last 12 months.  

Both bands are so good.

Saw Geoff Tate of Queenryche last week, small venue, fantastic.

Saw Metallica in August, stadium on the floor  another good one.

Looks like you guys have attended some really good concerts. Last week my wife and I went to see the Four Tops and Temptations at Mountain Winery and again my wife got tickets in the 6th row from the stage.

We really enjoyed watching both groups and they put on a really good show. Duke in the Four Tops is an original member and is 88 and Otis in the Temptations is 81 and an original member.

I bet Silent Lucidity was really good!  Geoff Tate has one of those incredible voices.

It was! Was the closer for set then they did a 3 song encore. 2 hour show in small venue.

 

The guy still has pipes, would go again.

My son and I saw The Postal Service & Death Cab for Cutie at The Hollywood Bowl back in October. Great experience

I typically stick to small venues now. Took the wife to see English Beat earlier this year at Ramshead in Annapolis. She talked me into seeing Judas Priest this coming April. That should be fun considering Rob Halford still has the chops at 70+ years old. I'm just bummed that the KK Downing Glen Tipton duo is no longer a part of the band.

The English Beat. Was a fan back in the 80s! Man, they have to be in their 70s now!

Great show. I saw them in September at The Athem in DC. I think it was my favorite show of 2023.  

 

In December I saw Interpol at 930 Club - reliving my earlier 20s 🙂

In Jan. we saw Big Brother & The Holding Company and it was really good!

There are several original members and the woman that took Janice Joplins place sounded like her.

Last weekend we saw Chris Cain and that was a great blues concert.

At the end of the month we're going to see Lydia Pense & Cold Blood.

Hope to see Mike Reed’s Seperatist Party next week and have Thundercat to look forward to in 3 weeks and Shabbaz Palaces in two months.

My wife and I saw Depeche Mode in Nashville back in October and Andrea Bocelli in Atlanta in February.

 

The dichotomy is strong between those two. 😂

My wife and I saw Lydia Pense and Cold Blood last weekend and it brought back memories from my younger days. 

Next month we're going to see Pablo Cruise.

My wife and I saw Heart last night in Tampa at the Amalie Center with Cheap Trick opening.  I wish the audience would get into the concerts more, very quiet in terms of singing along.  Second show here and both concerts were rather quiet.  Makes me really miss concerts in Denver.  Great show regardless.

My wife and I are going to see Def Leppard with Journey and Steve Miller Band in Atlanta (Truist Park) in July.

 

Def Leppard is the main draw for me. I can't tell you how many hours my dad and I spent hanging out and listening to Pyromania when I was a kid.

Perhaps it’s just the demo on the site, but does anyone go to shows/concerts of bands that aren’t 25+ years post inception?! 😆 All good, no judgements and just an observation.

I have tickets to see Goose... does that count?  Oh, and I have tickets to see Pink, but I don't know when she started out.  Probably before 20 years ago.

 

My concert lineup is decidedly ancient as I try to sneak in that "last" time to see them before they hang up their boots.  D&C at the end of this month at the Sphere.  Pearl Jam and Pink in August.  Allison Kraus/Robert Plant sometime this summer, and then finishing it off with a Goose show.

 

I have to say though, this might be my last year of concerts.  I didn't even look to go see one of my favorite bands of all time, Neil and Crazy Horse because I don't trust TicketMaster/LiveNation anymore.  Overall I am good for the music economy, but I think after this year, it'll be time for me to bow out and leave it to the next generation.  I may have to head to Vegas for a Franks and Deans show though.  The venue is wacky on it's best day, and I think would be a fun place if it were hopping.

Went to see Pablo Cruise last Thursday night and they were fantastic! It was at a smaller venue in Menlo Park that used to be a movie theater. We had seats in the second row at the end of the row. Our seats were only about 6' away from the stage. The opening act was AJ Crawdaddy whose group plays the blues. There are two original members of Pablo Cruise,  Cory Lerios and David Jenkins.

We have actually had a busy year!  The Eagles - The Long Goodbye tour with Steely Dan in February, Luke Bryan and Lainey Wilson at the Houston Rodeo in March and Gary P. Nunn at Albert Dancehall this past weekend as well as several small local bands at a variety of local venues.
