Pre bent wedges

I'm in the market for new wedges, I play 50,54 and 58. I really like the look of the new Mizuno T24 wedges but I read something that gave me a little pause. I read that they only manufacture several degrees and bend them to the printed loft. So a 56 would be bent to 54. Is this true and do other manufacturers do this?

Why would it matter if they did?  As long as a 54* is a 54* and 8* of bounce is 8* of bounce why's it matter how they get there?

Nothing unusual about that.   The pitching and gal wedges look like the same the head bent if you want the higher loft, which results in 2 more degrees of bounce. No big deal. 
Lots of options in the sand and lob wedges, don’t fuss over this, just pick one and enjoy.

I would have figured that bending the wedges would affect offset and bounce.

It effects both.

That is what exactly is does. If you look at their loft offerings they are spaced 2* apart with the same 2* of bounce. It is not really a big deal. Just go in person and check it out for yourself. The face profile is what you need to get comfortable with and not that it is bent.

Pretty good concept 

example:

if you want a 54 high bounce 

they take 52 bend to 54 and it adds 2* of bounce 

conversely if you want 54 Low bounce 

it’s a 56 less 2 degrees of loft and bounce 

I would guess Vokey does the same. Manufacturing Standard 

heads in 2* intervals 50, 52, 54 etc. can produce pretty much any 

loft / lie combination desired.

It does.  Manufacturers plan for that.

In previous models, they used to advertise you could buy any loft wedge. However, if you looked at the advertised bounce, it was clear they only had a few loft molds per grind, and bent to get the rest.

 

I'm pretty sure this is different to other OEM's where a 50-52-54-56 are definitely different heads and not just bent.

Imagine if both your 54 and 58 were based on a 56* head one bent 2 week and the other bent 2 strong. One would have no offset and the other a bunch.
