Diamana GT 6S in Driver...so far, so much better

Had my first day of testing with the newest Diamana GT 6S in my Driver today, Ping G430 LST Head, playing 45" and around a D4 SW. Seems to be much straighter flight over my AD IZ 6S. I was able to hit a baby fade today as well as a baby draw. All 3 drives on the 9hole round i play today went farther than usual too. This one seems to hit a better spin window as well. Will be testing it again next weekend at the outdoor range as well as a golf round.

That’s great to hear you found a shaft that work the best. I chased and chased, but in the end I’ve always gone back to my trusty GD tour ad di 5 stiff tipped an 1.5in.

what swing speed are you for Diamana gt 6s?

 

Just wondering as I played tour ad iz 6s and changed as I found it a bit soft sometimes. Is Gt firmer or similar feel?

I am right around 100clubheadspeed. I actually just switched BACK to the AD IZ 6S because the diamana did seem a bit softer in the tip and i was getting more fades vs turning the club over a bit more which i can do with the AD IZ.

I have the GT 80TX in 3 metal and had the 70TX in driver.  It works great in 3 metal but didn't in driver.  It's a beefed up ZF to me in that it's more linear and stable.  Very similar to the TR Red in terms of EI profile but much smoother.

interesting. Im looking for something like Tensei white but slightly firmer in the handle and slightly higher launch. For some reason I tend to lose soft handle driver shafts more left

GT might be the answer.  It's mid launch with low spin but it flattens out at the apex unlike your typical blue board.  I feel you on softer handle shafts.  I just can't seem to square the face consistently with them.

GT 60 stiff is seeming loose for me. I thought Driver SS of 100 to 103 average this would be good for me. I’m a heavy loader, could that be it? I love the feel of Diamana line. Should I look at PD or anything else? Thanks

Might not be swing speed related but rather your transition and how it feels which affects delivery.  Going X flex will lower spin and possibly tighten dispersion but you won't know until you test it.  PD is lower launch/spin than the GT but lacks feel IMO.  It was also more stable/anti-left as well.

I've actually gone back and forth between the Diamana GT 6S and my AD IZ 6S. I've changed my swing to a draw swing and have been trying to find the right shaft. With that AD IZ, If I make a proper draw swing where my swing direction is properly to the right I can hit a beautiful high draw with it, otherwise it's a nice hook to the left side. I did feel like the GT was a bit better for faders.

Have had a couple rounds now with the Diamana ZF 6S in my Cobra LTDx LS 9 degree head set at -1.  
 

The dispersion and distance has been quite good.  Trajectory is pretty high, higher than expected.
 

 Better dispersion than the Graphite Design Tour AD VR 6S that I have been playing for a while.

 

Also tried the BGT Brava 58g X-Stiff recently for a few rounds and found it to be too stiff for me.
