9 hole course

My local club thats 15 mins from me is a 9 hole course. Is it worth it to Join? I've figured it up and it would save me over 100 bucks a month. The course can be played as 18 as it has 2 sets of Tees and some holes play as both 4/3 and 5/4 depending on Tees you play. I do play 90% of my Golf there.

Do actually like the course or just the price? Is it easy to get out on it during the times you like to play? It would save you $100 a month over what? (meaning, what's the alternative?) If you're already playing 90% of your rounds on this course on a pay-as-you-go basis, and you like it, then the math is pretty easy to do on whether it makes sense to get a membership. I am guessing this course is a public/semi-private course that has daily rates as well as some kind of "membership" or annual pass deal.

Yes I like the course was actually member years ago when it was a 18 hole course. They Turned it into a Luxury RV Resort and kept 6 holes from front 9 and 3 from back 9. The course is very easy through the week to get on not crowded at all. They have Daily Rates which is where id spend the more money over membership which is 110 a month plus cart fees. I play about 4 Times a week there and play other courses maybe once or twice a month. Hardly ever need a Tee Time except on Weekends when it's busier. The Main benefit is just the Money savings. And they are building a nice big clubhouse with restaurant coffee shop fitness center and pro shop. All that's already started. And they building a 9 hole par 3 that has started as well

Sounds like a no-brainer to get the membership then.

Just to add there's really no other perks with Joining. It's basically just the convenience of getting to charge everything and paying it all at end of the month in one payment, and getting that savings on Golf. Basically I pay 110 month and go in tell them to charge my cart fee and at end of month pay my total. Again biggest benefit is the money Savings over pay as you go. One downside would be as to how many times a week I could play through the colder months. Where I play 4 days week now that may be cut down to 2 during winter.

My biggest problem with 9 hole courses is playing the second 9 ... Some courses do a good job managing it and actually getting you a second tee time and getting you out, but most don't. But if you're familiar with how this course runs and like it, this sounds like a good deal.

I've actually never had a problem, I play through the week and at most I've seen maybe 15 people playing at a time. I can usually go over there and play it Twice from the 2 different tee boxes and be done in 2.5hrs. Occasionally I do run up on people but they usually let me play through. So for it being 9 holes it's only crowded on Saturdays which I hardly ever play on Saturday. Other than that it's usually pretty wide open. I have been on the course and it just be 3 or 4 total people on it. Even though it's public it's mainly members that you see there. Plus when all these renovations are complete they are going to make it Private so then if I played there i would have to be a member regardless. The place is going to be very nice with the big clubhouse and lighted par 3 course.

Sounds like my course except while being fairly short, my course isn't easy unless you hit the right place in the fairways. Seniors are treated right too.

Yeah this course is Short around 5900yds if play 18 from the two different Tees

Well I pulled the trigger today and Joined. I sure hope I made the right decision, which I think I did as long as I can play at least twice a week through the Winter. Spring and summer no issues. Winter time play is where I worry about it.
