Anchoring Mitchell Loft/Lie Machine and Grip Station

I have recently acquired a Mitchell Loft/Lie Machine as well as a Regrip Station. I want to avoid having to drill holes into the garage floor. I can bend irons/wedges flat without the stand moving but if I try anything else, it jumps around. Has anyone found a good solution??

I’d probably build a platform out of a couple pieces of plywood sandwiched together so you can stand on it for leverage.

I've had several garage based shops over the last forty years. Each has had a homemade 3' x 8' workbench bolted to the wall. Loft and lie machine on one end and gripping station on the other.

Bolt the bases to a wider platform, diamond plate for style points, even ply wood would work. Or as also mentioned above...ditch the stands altogether and mount them to a work bench.

Just drill the holes in the concrete.   Not a big deal and it's the best way to secure he loft/lie machine

I did not want to drill in the floor so I went this route. Couldn’t be happier. It is secured into a 2x6 wall stud. I can move it to a bench mount option if I want with another mount. Trick-tools.com. Versa-mount vise and grinder wall mount. Added the versa-mount table receiver

Mounted to my workbench has worked well for me.

From my experience, regripping stations don’t need to be bolted to an unmovable foundation but bending machines do.

 

I’ve tried those portable bending machine stands and they just wobble too much when bending even with my weight and some weight plates on the base.
