Here’s been my observations over the years. And it’s purely just my opinion. 
 

When ump sits up inside, he’s inconsistent on the outside part of the plate. When he sets up outside, it’s the other way. Which is understandable. 
 

But that guy last night. Pitches were absolutely right in front of him and he was missing them….badly. I honestly don’t think I’ve ever seen it that bad (outside of Maddux). And I only watched a few innings.

I've been a pitchers guy my whole life, but I've never agreed with "if he's calling it consistently and the same for both sides then that's all you can ask for."  BS.  A hitter shouldn't have to be guessing what the strike zone is.  And it amazes me how players who, were they as bad at their jobs as umps are at calling balls and strikes, wouldn't last half a season, yet umps can make careers out of it.

 

A satire site had a hilariously funny headline recently.  "Inclusivity win:  Angel Hernandez makes history as MLB's first blind umpire."  Sad part is it' closer to truth than anyone wants to admit.

He was such a stud for me in Fantasy Baseball for years. HR, SB, always solid across the board. And  highly underrated.

Was a really good game. Arizona had chances all night and never could get that one big hit to get them going.
