The new tour b x goes about 6-10yards farther for me but Spin about 500-1k light on my 6 iron. It seems more consistent distance wise which was interesting compared to the XS.

they both feel great. I just started hitting indoors so I feel like these aren’t my true numbers as I usually say my 6 is 200 and pw 145. BUT, it could be that I have always over inflated my numbers and this really is my true number. Lol

 

will be trying chrome tour, chrome tour x, prov, tp5 and tp5x

Ironically Tiger switched into BX after championing the BXS for years .....I wonder why he would use a ball with less movement and spin?

Believe it was to help with a little bit of extra ball speed, being the firmer of the two.

I guess I'm saying they would have to had improved greenside action for him to have made the move....

I believe it is the improved spin and a few extra yards off the driver.

Bingo, and that is what the new Tour BX has.  Spins nice around there greens for being the "low spin model"

You.might not have gotten an answer because they might not have tried the rxs.

If you want more spin across all clubs, then the bxs will be a better ball for you.  

 

if you want to hit the ball higher, with less spin (and likely straighter as well) go brxs.  You will notice less curve with driver, and irons while fly higher with less spin, resulting in more distance.

 

hard to say if you will notice any feel difference.

Got nine in yesterday with the bx. It was rainy, snowy, cold, wet and windy. Swing was not per usual due to conditions. Greens were slow. Off the putter this ball is really good. Helped me all everything to within a few feet due to good feel. Driver felt soft for a hard ball, had Lower flight than I am used to (zstar diamond and xv). Best driver was a 235 yrd cut into a 8mph wind 38° and rainy. I’ll take that. The e9 long drive actually felt harder. Off irons it felt soft but flew high for me. Can’t judge distance or spin due to conditions as everything was plugging. I liked the mindset but realize I already do that anyways. Now it might help as a reminder during a tournament but just getting out for a round didn’t notice much. I did pick up a sleeve of tpx5 to try.

I was in that store a lot

Bought a PING putter with the blue insert from that store

Good to hear! I had heard that Katrina has wiped out the building so I assume it’s a new building now. Where do you play your golf?

Oh I did not know that. I’m sure they aren’t there anymore more but Ed and Olie used to let me play there and hit balls occasionally.

Ed is the Pro over at Atchafalaya at Idlewild in Patterson, LA (maybe retired by now)

Ed is the one who taught me how to play golf

I finally got my hands on the new BX mindset balls.  I got a test package of BX a few months back and though I thought they were good, it was shorter off the tee than the new TP5X and both Chrome Tour balls.  Enough for me to almost give up on the ball.  Fast forward to yesterday.  For the first time ever, I BEAT our director of golf in a game of 21, short game version. This dude has the best short game around.  Stoked.  I used the new BX and man, that ball has tons of control around the green for being a "low spin ball".  Feel is excellent.  I then played 7 evening holes with a buddy.  One bad swing in the water, but 3 birdies.   BX is a wonderful ball off the irons.  I think it may be long enough to game this season.  To me, it's better around the green than CT and possibly even CTX.  Plus, I LOVE the mindset logo.  Just looks sick.

My 2024 ball will be the (2023) e12 Contact. I'm convinced it's one of the best all-round balls for the money. 

 

I was nervous about moving away from a Urethane cover but this ball does everything I need it to. Great off the driver and irons and surprisingly high spinning around the greens.

 

Arguably the overall performance is as good as the Tour B RX for around half the price. In Canada, Bridgestone are offering 15 ball e12 packs for $38.99 vs $69.99 for 12 Tour Bs. It's a no brainer.

Is there a big change from older models to the new ones? I’ve honestly been off of Bridgestone despite liking them in years past. Got 98% recommendation through ballnamic for BX.
