Upgraded driver from STZ220 to STZ230 yesterday and very happy. Nicer sound and feel and slightly better on ball speed and trajectory around the face. the 220 was great for my game last year, way less OOB lost balls than with SIM previous year.

I like Mizzy irons, but am new to Mizzy woods, when fitted correctly are they just as good as other OEM?

Feb 8th is the release date, but in an interview I listened to, Vosh tells the interviewer to come hit it at the PGA show.  So I'd imagine there will be info/embargo lift prior to Feb 8th

They must be good due that their guys seem to be winning with them. If they weren’t good, they’d bag something else.

They are at least as good as anything else out there. For some players they might be a better fit than a Cally/TM/Titleist/PING and for some players they're not. Just as any brand or model. But in terms of "raw performance", yeah. Just as good or better 😄

My friend has been playing the Max for a good spell now. Set up the same as his ST-Z 230, the Max spins about 200-300 rpm more on average. Max launches slightly higher, ball speed is a dead heat but Max gives him a point and shoot driver even more so than Z. 
 

For my game, giving up a few yards of carry for more stable and consistent ball flight is a no brainer.

I can vouch for the fairways and hybrids.  I have had a lot of them and they are great performers.

Yes they 100% are!  The reason a lot of the youtubers have slower swing and ball speeds with mizuno drivers is because up until the ST max, all their previous drivers have been built at 45" instead of 45 1/2" or 45 3/4".  When they are played at comparable specs they are just as good if not better!

Hmm this peaked my interest as it seems very similar in design to the ping g430 10k, which in my mind is the best release so far this year. Shallower face… check. Sounds better. Cheaper. The early reviews are sketchy so far so cant wait to hear more. Hopefully it keeps spin down and spin variance down well.

I think this is going to be a solid release. If you can still hit the ball in the fairway after missing the centre by 30mm there is something to be said for the level of forgiveness here.  Now there is no way I would play a 45.75 inch length driver but I would like to know if you go the custom fit option and lob off an inch will Mizuno put a heavier screw weight in like TM does?

I am not sure what Mizuno does to account for shorter driver lengths, but I did see several options for driver weights on Ebay. Just need to find out what the weight is on the stock center screw on the new St Max 230, and go from there. Like you, I  would rather play it at a little bit shorter length.

I am 95 mph and by far the best driver I have hit, and I have had just about every driver made with many shaft combo, great driver you will love it.

Mizuno has really come into their own with the woods. The only reason they can't pry me away from Titleist is the look at address and the sound. I don't like seeing the carbon on top or the sound compared to Titleist. The performance is definitely there and the price point is a little better.
